We ate there three times during our two week vacation in Hawaii. The food and drinks, the view, and the knowledgeable staff make this the must go restaurant in Kaneohe. No other place comes close. Trust me you will not be disappointed! Try the prime rib - it is huge and the best I have had in a long time - and they totally understand rare.

Haleiwa Joe's' Kaneohe location serves fabulous food and drinks, and the service is wonderful. Their gargantuan servings of roasted prime rib are beyond description in both quantity and quality. Their locally-acquired fresh fish dishes, both raw and cooked, are expertly prepared. The bartenders are terrific at creating tasty, novel cocktails, and they're very knowledgeable about the modest but diverse wine list. It's difficult to find any fault with this gorgeous and romantic restaurant. But, and it's sometimes a big "but": they don't take reservations, so when they're busy (which is always, it seems) the wait time can be frustrating. They are always packed anyway, so I guess they don't mind frustrating some patrons frequently. Second "but": it's open to the weather all across the fabulous view side looking down onto the pond, and there's no air conditioning -- so if weather conditions are hot and humid (which seems to be more and more frequent in the last decade) it can be uncomfortable despite the many ceiling fans. Overall, if the weather is comfortable and breezy, and if you don't mind risking a possible lengthy wait for a table, by all means don't miss Haleiwa Joe's in Kaneohe! (Their original Haleiwa location can be a very different story, food-wise -- but that's for another review . . . . )

This is such a beautiful spot. The restaurant has gardens that you can walk through and a gorgeous place around a pond which makes a pretty wedding venue. Our meal was delicious including a decadent chocolate cake with warm cream cheese in the center and topped with ice cream.
