“Great family place to stay”
Reviewed 28 August 2012

We really enjoyed our week stay at the Ko Olina Beach Villas. We were on the ground floor and we had the view of the ocean. The pools were great but the jacuzzi's in the front pool were not working. The gym is nice and the pool off the gym is nice and that jacuzzi was working. The staff at the resort are very friendly. The Aulani (Disney Resort) is right next to the beach villas and we stayed there one night. The beach in front the villas was nice and quite while we were there. The inside of the condo was nice and spacious and clean. We are going to go back beacuse we really enjoyed the place and the location.

We've stayed here back in 2008 at 3 bedroom unit. It was very quiet and classy place to stay back then. All the guests were quiet and polite. Never bother by other guests during our 10 days stay in peak season of August. It was nice relaxing vacation we had.

We came back this August for the second time. I was surprised to see how this place has changed in 2 years. Became busier is something you expect, but what you surprised by was so many units having so many people staying inside. And having loud gathering in their lanai facing 100 units. Those people has no consideration for others. Huge group taking up the part of pool, or birthday party going by the pool and everything.

And residents and association having some problem, so the fitness room was closed. Also, part of the lobby was only open for the guests who book through association. They really need to come up the resolution in many issues in this place now.

The residents have to make up their mind if they want to keep this place as classy resort or just condo complex. Next year, we will go back to Honua Kai Resort in Maui, I think.

Room Tip: Go the beach tower if you can. Ocean tower's lanai facing each other, so always have risk of lo...

Good place for a family vacation. But not for partying. A car is recommended because its not close to much. Quiet and relaxing. Nice beach. Like that they have free Internet and computers to use. Three pools and a buch of hot tubs. Water tunnel. BBQ grills available for use. No charge. kichenettes in the rooms. Although they didn't have a freezer.

This was one of our favorite places to stay ever! We rented a three bedroom, three bathroom condo (Ocean Tower - 621) for my husband, myself, our 2 year old son, and my father and his wife. The layout and size of the unit was perfect for sharing with another couple - one wing had the master bedroom and bathroom, while the other wing had two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The condo itself was ultra high-end, extremely spacious, with everything you could possibly need. There was even a big closet full of beach toys, boogie boards, snorkel gear, a cooler, lawn chairs, etc. We also discovered a playpen and booster seat in the master closet, along with a whole wack of beach towels. The unit was equipped with a great Sony docking station for our iPod along with DVD players and flat screen TVs in every room! There were ample kitchen supplies and even two dishwashers! Everything in this unit was top of the line and the partial ocean view was beautiful. We also enjoyed overlooking the pool, which was beautifully lit up at night with tiki torches throughout the property.

In terms of the resort, this is an immaculate, prestine property with beautifully landscaped gardens and well thought-out pool designs. There are two pools - one "quiet pool" that's more for swimming laps and lounging and another pool that's perfect for kids! The kids pool is surrounded by rocks, lots of different levels, a bridge, and a great area with a rock/sand bottom with it's own little rocky beach. There are BBQs, tables, and a little bar that plays island music and offers fun drinks (quite expensive tho!). The lagoon is incredible with perfect sand, clear turquoise water, fabulous snorkeling (lots of turtles), and cabanas to sit under. We loved the gorgeous boardwalk that connected the properties in this area and took a walk one evening to the Disney resort where we ended up watching a show with lasers and all! We booked in for a Character Breakfast the next morning and had so much fun!! Our son got to meet and take pictures with Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy - plus loved eating Mickey waffles and singing songs with "Auntie".

All in all, I cannot recommend Ko Olina Beach Villas Resort enough. It's such a beautiful part of Oahu - it's own little oasis!! If you have young children or are traveling with a group, this is the perfect place. This is also the perfect place to have a wedding! Stunning is an understatement and we can't wait to go back with our friends!!

Room Tip: We enjoyed our partial ocean view, but the full ocean view would be amazing. We also prefer rooms th...

Rented a condo here and was truly dissapointed with the whole process. The area is far away from Waikiki and all the major attractions. The homeowners do not like the rental guest at all. The owners act as if they own the whole building. The jacuzzis are all broke and look as if they will never be fixed. The best thing is the sunsets are spectaculor. Great for families and outdoor activities. The lagoons are calm and pretty.

Room Tip: Stay at the disney resort or the marriott

We rented a villa here through VRBO once again. This time we were travelling with friends so we wanted a three bedroom. The unit was very nice, and like the others, had high-end kitchen appliances and a great view. Since we didn't book directly through the property we didn't have access to the fitness room but ran on the beach trail instead. And yes, two of three spas are broken and probably won't be fixed anytime soon. We noticed that the quiet pool was never very quiet and security was not out in force asking people to keep it down. This was nice because no one was out of control or too loud. Just kids having fun.

The beach bar now also serves as an activities center and you can even rent beach gear to use at the lagoon. A nice addition. The best part about this property is that its far away from the craziness of Waikiki. There are some nice local restaurants and grocery stores in near-by Kapolei (Hapa Grill was our favorite).

Remember, this is not a mega-resort with mega-resort amenities. If you are looking for that don't stay at the Ko Olina Beach Villas. These are beatiful residences on a beautiful beach in a quiet location.

Room Tip: Rent directly from an owner through a site like VRBO to save a lot of money. Don't book directl...

We stayed here with 2 children (5 and 7) from July 7 to July 16. We are very happy we booked this place (BT 609). Booked through Ola Properties. As you walk around in Ko Olina you'll find out you can't get a better view in Ko Olina. Appartment is fantastic, we went to Disney's Aulani just for 1 night during our stay and were happy to return to the beach tower again. What a space for the same money as a simple cramped hotel room in the Disney resort. Had lunch every day at Long Board's, friendly people there and ok food. Slight downsides of the villa's: the ac is noisy (but we are not used to ac in Holland) the security is too strict at the pool, hot tub still does not work, you can't get a quick snack at the beach bar. Overall we would highly recommend and definitely go back to this particular unit. From Holland it's a bit of a long journey so we won't do this every year:-)

Room Tip: If you want the best views; try to book a unit in the Beach Tower, renting through Ola Poperties is...
