“experience a neighbor island feel without leaving home”

Stayed at this resort with a friend for his birthday. The location is beautiful at the lagoons of Ko'olina. We had a spacious 1 bedroom suite for 3 nights and it was very comfortable. All the comforts of home including a full size refrigerator, washer & dryer and complete kitchen. We went to Ihilani hotel for dinner with family for his birthday and grilled our dinner on the lawn the next two nights. They have 2 large and amazing pools and of course the lagoon right in front of the hotel was very nice. Our family came and spent the days with us at the beach and pool and stayed for dinner. It is so relaxing and the vibe of the resort is very laid back. I would recommend this resort for families, especially with young children as the resort is very family friendly and oriented. Such a wonderful, relaxing staycation for kamaaina not wanting to get on a plane and travel in the islands.

My family LOVED the Beach Club. It is about a 20 minute drive from everywhere it seemed. We are not into crowds, so staying outside of Waikiki was great. The coves are amazing (there are a total of 5 that are within walking distance from the hotel) especially for families with smaller children or those who may be slightly afraid of larger sealife (like myself)! A few coves down at Paradise Cove we were even able to swim with sea turtles who were very friendly! I also heard there is a seal in one of the coves that will swim with snorklers. The villas were always cleaned very well and comfortable for my family.
The Longboard Cafe was very expensive and honestly not that great. I would go across the street (within walking distance) to the Island Cafe for coffee and breakfast.
We did not attend their Fia Fia luau, however we did watch for just a moment and it looked very intimate and well put together! I would try this next time.
The pools are also GREAT for children (and adults) of all ages. My 4 year old daughter had a blast and it was very safe, clean and friendly!

Room Tip: Honestly none of the rooms are bad. You either have views of the mountains, harbor or beach. I would...

We spent a week at this resort! It was outstanding stay! Check in was smooth, very friend staff, our room was an ocean view over pool on the 10th floor. We had no problem with noise. Our one bedroom villa was very comfortable, clean and typical of MVC. There was plenty to do from activities including a awesome church service, on the beach, Sunday morning. It was nice to have it listed on the daily activity. Overall, great! My guidance feedback is that there are no umbrellas on the beach. I do no understand that. There is a nice walking path along the beach that connects the JW Marriott and Disney Resort. MVC guest have access to JW. The pools are good. There is an adult reflection pool. We made use of the grills overlooking the ocean. The on property restaurants had good food though pricey. This is a Costco, Safeway and other stores within 10 miles. Strongly recommend this gem on Oahu . This is NOT Waikiki or Honolulu!

My family spent a week at the resort. My children are college age and had a great time. The two bedroom unit was plenty big for the four of us. We used this as our base for exploring the island and were happy every night we returned. Great pools, nice beach are and the resort surroundings were excellent. Will definitely return here our next visit.

The Ko Olina Beach Club grounds are stunningly beautiful. The three pools include a quiet pool area just for adults and the newer pool has waterfalls, and a "shoot through the rocks slide" that I saw many children enjoying. The lagoon was fun to swim and snorkel in, but you do have to go out a ways to see any fish (there were a fair amount of fish but nothing spectacular). I went on a dolphin/snorkeling sail to see more fish and a couple sea turtles, which was fun. The room and amenities were outstanding. All the employees were friendly and helpful. We stayed four nights in mid November, so there were no crowds. We had a two bedroom suite with an ocean view in the newer, third tower. Truthfully, I got a little bored, there is only so much basking in the sun I can do. And I had trouble overcoming the feeling that all this "beauty" was a tad fake, nothing was natural (even the lagoons were man-made). The grounds were artfully landscaped to represent our American idea of what Hawaii is supposed to look like. Unless you venture out of the area, you will not get a feel for the real Hawaii. As an expensive base to leave to tour the rest of the Island, the Ko Olina Beach Club is fine. As far as dining goes, I'd eat at Roy's every night! It is expensive but much better quality than Chuck's or the buffet at the Disney resort for a similar price. The Monkey Paw was adequate and less expensive.

This is our second visit to this Marriott. We rented an efficiency . The size is very adequate for two people. We are on floor seven so we have a view of the grounds and the ocean. The beach lagoon 3 is calm, warm and has many tiny fish to make snorkeling fun. I never saw A big fish so don't expect too much. The food is expensive but three miles away is Safeway Food Mart, SAMs Club, CosCo and Wal Mart, and Target. There is also every fast food place you could want in the same shopping area. The resort has many kid activities, a luau and free entertainment on the lawn around 5:00. We had free wi-fi in our room. Some rooms have trouble but it works in the main lobby. The location is fine, if you have a car. It is only a half hour from Waikiki and Pearl Harbor. I hope this is not our last visit here because it is wonderful!

People are super friendly, free parking, and free beach chairs. We are in a studio facing the ocean. Beautiful view. The room is definitely big enough for 2 people. No cooktop, only a microwave, but we brought an electric skillet and we're able to cook breakfast everyday and cooked fresh fish and veggies. BBQ pits are very nice and cleaned every day. 1.5 mile walking trail is very nice. Only negative for us is this is definitely a family resort with lots of kids and we were here for a romantic vacation. Would definitely come back.
