“A great family vacation spot!”
Reviewed 21 April 2014

The hotel is splendid, staff very helpful and they truly like their positions there, was there over a week, pools and ocean we used every day, the kids club was a lot of fun and kids really enjoyed making bracelets, and other fun activities, shaved ice a great way too cool down each day. our room are always great at the Marriott's time shares. Easy access to many fun places.

Room Tip: get an ocean view, its a great way to have your morning coffee or evening glass of wine

Better late then never with the review........Ive been lucky enough to visit Hawaii a couple of times and this by far is the best vacation Ive had. My wife enjoyed this place as it was our Anniversary trip, the entire property is perfect. Pools are amazing and the hotel staff are the best around. Our Favorite part was the beach coves were you could see some fish flying out of the water. Very peaceful to lay out there and relax in the sun. Food was good at the restaurants but we cooked most of the nights. We can't wait to head back in 2015.

Room Tip: If getting a transfer as a timeshare, make sure to ask for a full Kitchen not a kitchenette if you a...

My husband is a Marriott Platinum member so we have stayed at countess Marriott's and many vacation clubs. This one was quite special. We arrived late at night due to flight delays (if only the airlines were as good at customer service as Marriott), and were checked in right away. We had a one bedroom suite with a lovely ocean view. We were in the older tower, but you'd never know it - it was beautiful and I didn't feel that the unit was dated in any way. We hadn't expected an ocean view, so it was a lovely surprise. The unit is just as we expected, having stayed in Vacation Clubs before. Wonderfully equipped and plenty of room for our family of four. We were able to put a rollaway in the sitting area off the master bedroom for our younger daughter (there were sliding panels to close off the area that we each had privacy).
The grounds of this hotel were beautiful - very well maintained. The pool area was a bit busy, but we still enjoyed our time poolside. Lots of local Hawaiians enjoying vacation time at the pool as well which as nice to be able to chat with some locals! We used the BBQ's one evening, which was nice. They were very clean and well maintained.
The concierge Terence was amazing. He gave us lots of great advice, and was so interested in making sure we enjoyed ourselves on the lovely island of Oahu.

We will definitely return to this hotel - it provides the best features of a high end resort, but provides the convenience of a full kitchen and plenty of space for a family of four.

Just returned from a fabulous vacation in Hawaii. A friend had a time share and shared the week with her and her daughters. The Marriott Ko Olina Beadch Club was so nice and relaxing. My first visit to a timeshare and the resort was top notch all the way. It is on Oahu but away from the hassle and bustle of Waikiki. Yet a seemingly short drive in to Waikiki for dinner. The resort has all the things one needs for a beach vacation..beautiful and impeccably clean beach, three gorgeous pools..two that attracted children and one for "serenity" as it is appropriately labeled. The grounds were beautifully manicured and clean. Events happening all the time but far from over bearing. Restaurants on site and not any more costly that any other restaurant in Hawaii. There's a little market just down the road for snacks and items for the unit. There are grills on the property for cooking your own dinner (observed them being cleaned all the time). The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Parking is complimentary for time share owners. The Disney Aulani was a short walk away and not nearly as nice as this Marriott. Very crowded and not as light and airy as the Marriott Ko Olina. Not one moment of disappointment? Great memories for sure!

Room Tip: An Ocean view would be great but had a mountain view. Not in the room enough to matter..had lots of...

This resort is the perfect balance of fun, romance, and beauty. The location is perfect. We had a car so it was nice to be out of busy Honolulu yet be a 5 minute drive from a grocery store. Marriott is a brand we have always trusted. We would have stayed at the JW but we wanted a kitchen so the huge one-bedroom suite at the Beach Club was better for us. We didn't eat a single meal out, instead we spent our money on activities, all were easily reached given our location in Ko Olina.

The pool at this hotel is so much fun and the lagoons are perfect for those who don't feel too comfortable in the ocean. You can walk to the marina and take a sunset sailboat ride!!! You can also check out the other resorts near by.

We went in September and it was pretty quiet. I cannot wait to go back.

Room Tip: Beware that even if you book an ocean view room you may be too low to see the ocean. This happened...

We go ever 2 years and it's always better than the time before. Grounds are still perfect. Rooms still look clean and they have updated the sleeper couch (1000x better) and have Blu Ray players in each room.
The issue with the yellow towel card previously noted in another review is really a non issue. I gave the yellow card for towels at the beginning of the trip and got them back at the end. Switching out towels frequently for new ones.
This was spring break and the resort was busy but not crowded.
Marketplace prices are seriously over priced so stock up at Costco, Safeway and or Target.
Burgers at the pool we really good for pool food. French fries mot so much.
This resort is a no brainer for families with kids. If you don't want to be around families go over to the JW Marriott a few lagoons down.
This truly is one of the best resorts around.

I'm a Marriott Vacation Club points owner and stayed five nights at the Beach Club in early April, 2014. In my time as an owner, I've been to the Aruba, St. Thomas, and St. Kitts properties, and this certainly compares favorably to both.

My brother and I checked in around 2:00 and were told that while the room wasn't ready, we were free to park and stow our bags. We went across the street to Monkeypod for late lunch and sure enough, got the call at 4:05 that our room was ready.

A quick note about the strict check-in/out times: keep in mind these are villas, and are more heavily lived-in than a traditional hotel room. They are also not cleaned daily (unless special arrangements are made), so additional attention really must be paid. Do not expect unique accommodations to be made for you.

The property itself has three towers of various configurations to the lagoon. We were in Hale Nai'a on the 10th floor, and the view was west-facing and spectacular. There are two pool areas - we'll say there's one for playing and one for resting, both dotted with hot tubs. The "resting" area has two pools, both low-key, one designated as a quiet pool. The pools were fine (I was a bit caught off guard by the salt chlorine - no "pool" smell) but, just my opinion, having a quiet pool squeezes all the kids into the fun pool, which made me feel WAY TOO OLD to be there, having fun. I did anyway.

I didn't spend much time at the lagoon, but it was clean and peaceful, and had great sunlight. I highly recommend the walk hugging the shore up to Paradise Cove. We missed the turtles, but there was a Monk Seal sleeping on the beach that made the rock climb worthwhile.

We stopped at the Nai'a Bar and Longboards, both were pretty standard for what they were; expected cost, expected service, nothing exceptional, nothing to complain about. We were encouraged to visit the Marriott Ihilani, but unlike some other Vacation Club properties, the distance between the villas and the hotel made the amenities feel less shared.

The advantage to this was that we didn't plan to spend our entire stay at the resort, and we didn't feel compelled to do so. The Ko Olina location on the west coast of the island put us in a perfect position to reach Makaha, Hale'iwa, and Honolulu in 30-45 minutes. The market and restaurants in Ko Olina were charming and rounded out any variety that was missing from the Beach Club property itself.

The entire vacation was a great experience, and it wouldn't have been possible without the Marriott Ko Olina Beach Club. It's well-located, well-appointed, and well-cared for. The grounds are beautiful and well-maintained, the rooms were in perfect condition, remote controls worked... there were no annoyances, all details attended to. The two bedrooms gave us privacy, but the shared space, including the great balconies, encouraged us to spend more time together. The weather was perfect, the sunsets were perfect (and each unique!), and we both can't wait to go back.
