Owner description: One of the top Hawaii attractions includes the Polynesian Cultural Center, which features a 42-acre facility on the North Shore of Oahu. Founded in 1963, the nonprofit Center was created so that the students of nearby Brigham Young University Hawaii could work their way through college by sharing their island heritage with visitors. The students come from an area that covers approximately 12 million square miles of the Pacific Ocean.

We enjoyed a very pleasant afternoon here. Each village had informative and entertaining cultural attractions. We did not have time to see everything. We opted for the "free buffet" package. The food was simple but fine. The show was very good. We were a bit surprised that the entry prices were higher than those on the pamphlet we were using as a guide, and that parking cost $10 where it was touted as being free on the flyer.

“Pleasant, educational Mormon venture”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 June 2014

We had no idea when we booked that the PCC is an
enterprise of the LDS. If that bothers you, you may want to look to another luau experience. That said, we enjoyed our visit very much. It's sort of a Polynesian Epcot Center, very clean, with friendly helpful employees. We visited most of the "villages", saw several presentations, and went to the Ali'i Luau and Ha! Breath of Life evening show. The food at the luau was OK at best, but the evening show was well done. I was glad we'd received a discount, but all in all, we had a good time.

“Visit and you will have a Great Day”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 June 2014

Well my husband, adult daughter and myself went back to the Polynesian Cultural Center after not visiting for 34 years. What fun and great evening we had. We went a little late at 3pm since we had seen all the villages before. We were going to have the luau and see the show.
We upgraded to the Ambassador package and booked on-line for a discount before we left home.
The guide from Tahiti "Andrew" was wonderful. Since we got there late he made sure we went around the villages and got to see has much as possible before dinner.
You get a nice location in front to see the luau show and the food was great
Since I booked on-line I was able to pick the seats we wanted for the show "Ha" since my husband likes a isle seat with his long legs it was perfect. It is really worth the money to upgrade and we are sorry it took us so long to go back since we are on the islands every other year.

If you haven't gone--go! If you have been before--go back!

“Enjoyable day”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 June 2014 via mobile

This was one of the highlights of our trip to Oahu, it was such a nice time to see how the Polynesian life was and still is, yes it is a very pricey tour but it is a FULL day and you get the choice when booking to upgrade packages for better meals as one on one tour guide! We tried to take advantage of all the services and things this place had to maximize our experience there, and let me say it did not disappoint us one bit. It is forsure a must do if and when in Oahu!

“A must-see!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 June 2014

This was a fabulous experience. It's like Epcot but for Polynesian cultures. It's split up into various areas based on one of 6 Polynesian cultures, with great demonstrations and neat activities. It's a great family activity and it's a fun way to spend an afternoon. It doesn't open until noon, though, so you have to plan accordingly.
