After travelling up and down route 102 looking for Mother's, we stumbled upon it after having given up for another destination for lunch. Food was fresh and generous although seating is only outside. On the corner of Gilbert farm road and route 102.

Excellent lunch....Highly recommend calling in your order ahead of time. If not the atmosphere is great to wait. Love is put into every sandwich that is made.

We stopped by here to visit a friend who is working here from the summer - on break from culinary school. Their talented hires and creativity with the menu, in addition to fresh no wonderful ingredients, make for a wonderful meal. All sandwiches can be ordered as a Salad - but it would be a shame to miss the bread. Yum-o!

The title of this review is the tag line of Mother's Kitchen. This is a little place just off ME Hwy 102. My wife and I stopped there today when we saw their parking lot full of cars and the picnic tables in their "backyard" full of diners. If you are looking for an unassuming, clean, friendly little sandwich shop, this is the place. I had a "Charlie Noble" sandwich. It was WOW! There is no inside dining. So, if it's raining you have to take your meal to go. Hence no 5 star rating. It was a spectacular day today and stopping at Mother's Kitchen. The folks in ME are extremely friendly. While waiting for our meal, we starting chatting with a couple with a five month old baby. Nice stop!

The reviews below are right on- an excellent sandwich shop with unique sandwiches and desserts! Small in size, yet very friendly and helpful staff. They do work very hard, and I had no problem leaving a tip in the jar!
We had the Grand Banker, which consisted of turkey, pesto mayo, lettuce and tomato, and red onion.
We paired that with a small portion of potato salad, beets, and pasta salad. Each was exceptional. And a freshly squeezed lemonade, which will quench any thirst.

We had the shortbread caramel nut bar, and raspberry chocolate bunt cake with almonds. Very good.

Quaint, small, and you can miss it in a blink while driving . (If this happens, be sure to turn around-- you will not be disappointed!)

Will certainly stop back again!
