We stayed at the Bar Harbor Motel from 7/4/14-7/11/14. We had to change our travel dates due to a family wedding, and the hotel was extremely helpful and accommodating. Hurricane Arthur hit late Friday night and we lost power all day Saturday. The hotel staff was very helpful in finding places to eat off of the island while they had power. The weather the rest of the week was perfect, warm days and cool nights. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating throughout our entire stay, especially the night staff, Aaron and Gina (our kids loved them!) The rooms and grounds were immaculate and the pool was a blast. Always full of clean towels and lawn chairs (the water was warm and clean, too!) The continental breakfast was plentiful featuring assorted cereals, bagels, english muffins, hard boiled eggs, and fruit. We loved that there was coffee, tea, and juices available in the lobby all day. The bus to downtown Bar Harbor picks you up right out front of the motel and runs every 15 minutes. It was a 10 minute bus ride (2 minutes by car) to downtown and lot easier than finding parking downtown. We would highly recommend the Bar Harbor Motel, we cannot wait to come back and stay again!
