We chose the Atlantean Cottage based on Trip Advisor reviews and we are glad we did.The location is perfect. It's on a quiet side street and it's an easy walk to restaurants and shops. In addition to gourmet breakfasts, the hosts are very knowledgeable and accommodating with restaurant suggestions, directions and things to do. Acadia National Park was closed during our stay due to the government shutdown. This was a bummer since the park was the main reason we were going to Bar Harbor. Gary came to the rescue and suggested an area where we could park and walk in. We did just that and had a memorable hike along the coast.
The inn itself is a gem. Clean and well appointed rooms, pleasant sitting area, great hosts and location. I even bought a couple of Atlantean coffee cups to remind me our our stay. If you are travelling to Bar Harbor, this is the place to stay.
