“Great Location, Clean, Nice Price”
Reviewed 1 September 2014

This is I think our fourth time here, just one night this time but we usually stay longer. You cannot say enough about the location of this place. On a side street right off the main drag where the ice cream shop is across from the park. You can walk to all the shops and at least half the restaurants and even then if you're spry you can walk out Cottage Street or down towards Poor Boy's and find more. The fee station in Acadia is four 1/2 miles from here out Schooner Head Road. Rooms (we've stayed in four) are clean and roomy and nice and quiet and I find it rather romantic. You don't actually have an ocean view but you are 50 yards from the shore path, 300 yards from the pier. I love going out in the morning to run when traffic is pretty much non-existent, the park quiet, fishermen at work, you can smell coffee and donuts. People say this is not a true B&B because there isn't a true breakfast but you can walk to three coffee shops and famous breakfast restaurants like Jordans. The price is 1/2 what you can pay in the places right on the water. You can look it up.

What a pleasant surprise to find our Inn so close to everything that we didn't have to move our car until it was time to depart the area. Seacroft Inn is a quaint little Inn just off the main drag at Bar Harbor. Our room had a refrigerator, sink, small dining table and chairs, bed, chairs and bath. We had our own separate entrance on the side so we didn't have to bother anyone when we came & went. The ladies that ran the Inn were very friendly, both over the phone and in person; always giving me suggestions of things to do and see. We plan on coming back to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Forest sometime and we will definitely stay here. It was clean and fresh smelling, not real fancy but very comfortable, especially for the price.

Room Tip: We did like the fact that we had our own private entrance. Other rooms were located on the 2nd floo...

What a great location. Close to town and the ocean. It was easy to find, clean, friendly, great value. It did not have a view that was too much to talk about, but it was nice enough for us. We would say here again if we travel to Bar Harbor again.

Excellent location in Bar Harbor in very short walking distance from the town centre, restaurants etc. A little different in that there is no breakfast, but there's a coffee bar and plenty of places to eat nearby. Nice clean room - great value all round. We would definitely go back!

Love this place. You can easily walk to any restaurant or shop in town as well as the harbor and the shorewalk. The Schooner Head parking lot in Acadia is four miles away (we ran there one day but it's easier to drive). Rooms are clean and comfy and the building is kind of by itself for more privacy. I'm not quite as enamoured of "Bunny" as some but of course you never have to see her once you're checked in. It might help her attitude if you're 50 years plus. Or maybe 60. Some point out this is not strictly a true B&B but you can walk to a dozen breakfast houses. I'd skip that and get out and about.

Room Tip: If you're concerned about noise from other guests ask for the second floor.

It was the location that first attracted me many years ago. Near Main but away from its noise. Just as near Grant Park and the Shore Path. Many visits later, Seacroft Inn has yet to disappoint. There are seven accomodations on offer and one - or two - probably suit the needs of your party. No smoking facility inside and out. Enjoy the clean Maine breezes!

This was a very clean, welcoming, cosy B & B just off Main Street, opposite the Village Green, so very convenient for catching the free shuttle buses to Acadia National Park for hiking trips,as well as wandering along the coastal path & finding restaurants (& ice-cream!) in the evening. We were in Room 4 which had a little kitchenette, so we could make breakfast, & it was very quiet & peaceful, in spite of all the people just 100 yds away! Bunny was very welcoming & we would certainly stay there again, & recommend it to friends.

Room Tip: We were on the ground floor at the side so the room was very private & stayed cool in the heat...
