Most of my movie going experience has been limited to eaither drive in movie places when i was young to theaters which you go buy some popcorn a drink maybe some snow caps then walk into the theatre pick a seat and watch the movie. That all changed when i took my fiancee to see godzilla at reel cinimas on our first night in bar harbor. We whent to see the 8:30 pm show, on the outside it looks like the typical theater but with very limited parking, we found a spot in the police dept parking area which is a 1minute walk to the theater. Inside my first responce was what a small lobby, we orderd some popcorn and sodas but i also noticed two other unique diffrences in this theater that i had never seen, here you can have a pizza made and you can buy a cup of beer. So i looked around for some tables on where to eat your pizza which there was none. Once inside i was surprised to see how things here are set up, each section of movie theatre seats has a stomach level bench so you can put your pizza ( which comes on a pizza pan not in a box ) to eat, also in back of the room is a small station with some condiments for pizza or pop corn and a pitchre of ice water. Down frount are 3 couches and tv trays if you wish to not sit on the typical movie theater seats. This place it seams is a hit with the local kids which were more of them then adults were, they were quiet and well manerd hats off to there parents for raising well respected children. There was an intermission so you could restock on soda or pop corn ( the large popcorn comes in a large square plastic bowel but you cannot take it home with you ) the theatre was clean and the movie was fantastic.
