“Great location and spotless”
Reviewed 26 October 2013 via mobile

This is just a great location to stay in Bar Harbor. Walk to everything. Quick our of town to Acadia etc. Place was spotless and cheap in Oct. Would repeat! Walk to Jordans for breakfast. Grocery store is two blocks away as well. Was a great place to see Bar Harbor and Acadia. Glad we listened to other reviewers on Trip Advisor and Booking.com

We have just spent 3 nights in the hotel section of Bar Harbor Manor and couldn't be more delighted. We had a very spacious room with a magnificent king size bed. Everything about this establishment is quality with lovely furnishings and quality linen, but at a very reasonable nightly cost. One of the best we have stayed in during our trip in New England!

Room Tip: We chose the hotel section but am sure the other areas are lovely too.

Hotel rooms are new and modern and even have a balcony. Fridge and microwave and coffeepot. Gave me late checkout. Very close walking to shops and restaurants. Front desk was friendly. Side Street Cafe has gluten-free beer and pasta and lobster roll, etc. close by. Close to walk to harbor. Bike Loop Road at Acadia. Get bike near closing for $5 overnight if you want to start early. Big grocery store a block away with gluten-free beer and food.

Although a somewhat rushed trip we really wanted to see Bar Harbor on our way home to Nova Scotia. We were pleasantly surprised to have selected an accomodation that was beyond our expectations. I can honestly find nothing to be critical of ,and for the money, it was a great experience.

Room Tip: All rooms in new section are equal in my estimation.

We stayed three nights in one of the suites and loved it. It was clean, comfortable and quiet.
Everyone was so helpful and even gave us maps and ideas of things to do since the Acadia Park was closed. We would recommend it to anyone. Thanks to the staff for all your help.

My husband and I stayed at the Bar Harbor Manor the first week of October while "sneaking" into Acadia National Park. I checked out all of the hotels in the area, and chose this one for the location and value. I was unsure about staying in Bar Harbor because of the crowds from the ships, but I figured we would not be in town during the day as we would be out in Acadia so we would miss most of the crowds. This worked out very well. Very short walk to the harbor, walked the shore path each morning. The hotel area itself was very nice and the grounds well kept, with nice landscaping. We had the King suite which worked out well for us, with the micro and mini fridge. For the price, if you want to stay in town, this is perfect.

Room Tip: King suite with mini fridge.

This hotel offers a great location and good value. I stayed in the Inn section which was developed from a "cottage" home of the early 20th century. My room was well furnished including a refrigerator, if a bit "Victorian" in decor. Clean and a huge balcony. This year a new three story building replaced an older motel structure. I did not see the rooms but the description given sounds like they are quite nice and modern rooms. There is a lot of competition for guests in the Bar Harbor area. These rates make the Bar Harbor Manor a great choice.

Room Tip: Ask for one of the new addition rooms unless you prefer a more B&B Inn feel.
