Visited the Holland Inn in October. Food was delicious, and location was great. Evin was unbelievably energetic and helpful with her recommendations. Would definitely recommend. Will stay here again for our next visit.

Breakfast was well done, Erin was so knowledgeable about the area that we had a really great time. Would chose to go there again. The room was rather small but we had a wonderful time.
The place is close to Bar harbor and the places she recommended to eat were well worth the time to wait for.

This was our second stay at the Holland Inn. We love the rooms in the "back" cottage and the breakfasts are unique and delicious!! As mentioned by others, the location is terrific because you can walk to the restaurants and shops from there plus there is an off-street parking lot.

Room Tip: We like the privacy of the rooms in the building "out back".

We had a great 4th of July stay at Holland Inn in 2013. Great breakfast and very comfortable room. The shuffle board in the front lawn is a great pass time. The only thing is that the host seems to be a little disorganized. We had some misunderstanding about breakfast timing but she saved it with the great food!

This was our second visit to the Holland Inn, we first visited in the summer of 2012. I am already lobbying for another trip next summer. We love this inn, for several reasons:

- The location can't be beat. You're close enough to easily walk downtown for dinner, but the inn is set far enough back from the road that it's nice and quiet at night.
- The breakfast is wonderful. We let them know that I'm a vegetarian, and I was easily accommodated. Some B&Bs serve you the same meal without the meat, but they actually give you a full meal here! We told them we loved the quiche from our last visit, and they remembered and served it the first morning we were there. There was a gentleman staying the same time as us with very strict dietary needs (allergies and cholesterol control I believe) and Evin accommodated him as well. Also, there are three seatings, allowing us to choose a time that let me sleep in a little! Plus, breakfast is served in a bright sun room, helping you wake up.
- The innkeeper, Evin, is very knowledgable about the area. She had maps to share, and lots of tips about hard to find beaches and secluded spots. The first time we were there, she also shared a CD tour of the park. Evin's tips were very responsive about our particular needs and interests, rather than scripted.
- The rooms are spacious, comfortable, clean, and have a very homey feeling. The room we stayed at had a king bed, a couch and chair, and a fridge. Also, just outside our door was a cute little seating area, where we spent at least two evenings with some fudge and wine.

My husband and I have stayed at the Holland Inn 3 times in the last 5 years - each time for 3-4 days. Evin is wonderful! She takes the time to talk to everyone and is always available for advice on where to eat and what trails are best for each persons experience level. The breakfasts are the best!! The Inn is very comfortable...like being at home!! We have stayed in 2 different rooms and enjoyed both of them! We always look forward to making the trip up to Bar Harbor and staying at the Inn!! I would certainly recommend The Holland Inn to family & friends!!

Room Tip: Any room you choose will be great!! The website gives a great description of each room. There is s...
