Even for high tourist season, there was little value for the money spent. Dingy rooms, uncomfortable beds, thin towels and buggy. Things to be expected of a low-budget room...at low budget prices.....

This motel is a great value and in a perfect location for the multi-purpose of touring both Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. The staff is friendly, cheerful, and helpful providing maps to local attractions and restaurant tips for great food at "locals" prices verses tourist traps. Across the street is an awesome miniature golf course complete with pirate ship. (Tip: do the regular course so you can go through the ship!). A short walk next to the motel (and across from the golf) is a restaurant and ice cream place. We didn't eat there but did enjoy ice cream after golfing. YUMMY! Acadia National Park (a MUST see...so beautiful) and Bar Harbor (great shops, restaurant, and of the course the spectacular harbor at sunset (we even saw a rainbow while there) are BOTH within 10 or so minutes from the motel The location is absolutely convenient unless you want to stay closer and spend probably at least double or more for one of the bigger, fancier hotel/motels closer to town. The room was great too. Clean, neat, nice upgraded quality of sheets, bathroom updated and full amenities. The motel, although located on a busy road, is nestled off the road a bit in gorgeous pine trees so noise was not a problem. There is a nice sized pool in the back (nice privacy for guests) landscaped crisply and inviting. Picnic tables dot the wooded area in front far enough away from the road to not have to worry about smaller children running around. There's also a relaxing lounge chair swing in the picnic area. I would highly recommend this motel for those seeking an economically friendly and old fashioned experience of simple and clean FUN! GREAT EXPERIENCE. MY THANKS TO THE MANAGEMENT!

I gave 5 stars because I thought this was very good value for the money. The staff were very courteous and helpful ( sharing a map and suggesting places to see), the room was clean and quiet. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others. You come to Acadia to be outdoors - I don't see a reason to pay a lot for a fancy room, so this was a perfect match for my needs.

Clean. Wifi speed is acceptable. I can view Youtube 480p without a problem. Location in the middle way when you drive into the Bar Harbor village. Bay Harbor's hotel is crazy expensive, here the price is reasonable. 130 about for queen.

My husband and two children and I stayed here for one night. We had a room with a queen bed and two twin beds. The motel was mostly what I expected it to be for a budget motel. The room didn't score very well for cleanliness for me. When we arrived the toilet was unflushed and the bathroom smelled bad, like body odor. There was also some trash under the desk area that was not picked up, so I didn't feel confident that the room was clean. Sleeping was ok, though my husband was very uncomfortable on the old mattress. We did like the pool area, that was clean, another plus was that this area was very quiet.

My husband and I had a one night stay at this hotel and absolutely loved it.
The reviews said it was a cheap place to stay for the night, but very outdated.
However it was A LOT nicer than what I had expected. It was very very clean and bright.
The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean.
I will defiantly be staying here on our next trip to Bar Harbor.

Recently stayed at this motel and was pleasantly surprised. Our room had a kitchenette which was perfect for breakfast, beds were very comfortable and bathroom was newly renovated. It was located close to the entrance to Acadia National Park and not too far from the town of Bar Harbor. The property was lined with pine trees so it was really pretty. Room was a little rustic looking, but very clean. Across the road was a mini golf place and next door was a great ice cream shop.
