Edenbrook is a relatively nice older motel that has been kept clean and reasonably priced. It's convenient to both Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor, although the walk from the motel to the Bar Harbor shopping and attractions is a lengthy one, most of which is spent along a busy two-lane highway. The room was a comfortable size for our party of two adults and two teenage boys and reasonably clean, but a little dated. The first major gripe I had with Edenbrook was that the staff member (owner?) I dealt with on the phone and at check-in was a humorless older woman that made me felt like I was just another miserable tourist cluttering her day. The other problem was that all the rooms have an assigned parking space and the room we were given had a space that made it physically impossible to park in if the neighbor had arrived and parked first, due to the angle of the building and the spaces. Of course, our neighbors returned to the motel before we did every day requiring us to park along the edge of the lot, away from our room. While it's a decent motel, I think I'll look elsewhere if I have a return trip to the area.
