We loved the location. We preferred not to be in the middle of Bar Harbor, and this was perfect in that sense: close enough to Bar Harbor to have easy access and, even more important, a few minutes drive to Acadia National Park. The Inn is in a beautiful setting, overlooking the ocean, with a lovely garden. I wish we'd had more time to enjoy sitting on the porch soaking up the surroundings. Our room was fairly large, with a small balcony; it was quite comfortable, though the decor could use some de-kitsching. Easy to get wi-fi. Decent bathroom. The breakfast main courses were really good, but I'd have appreciated more variety. Some days the only protein was a hard boiled egg. More fresh fruit (please!) and a choice between two main dishes would make all the difference, as would an extra hour (breakfast is served only for an hour, so there's no sleeping in). We did enjoy talking with our fellow guests, and Jack is a very personable host and knows the area really well, so he can make recommendations for activities and restaurants. (I'm sure Jeanie's great, too, but we didn't interact with her.) The innkeepers could fix their online reservation system to make it easier. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the Inn, with the above caveats.
