Beautiful B&B about 10 minutes from Bar Harbor proper and Acadia. I loved how it was nestled in the woods, had beautiful gardens, and had a gorgeous view of the ocean. If you stay here, be sure to hike down to the Inn's ocean front-- it's so lovely! We stayed in the Garden Room, which was tiny (but the only room they had available because of my last minute planning), but comfortable, clean, and quiet. What a comfy bed! It also had a jacuzzi, which is great way to soothe your sore legs and feet if you're going to spend the day hiking. The staff was super friendly, and the owners have a dog named Pearly that I fell in love with. There was tea and some kind of delicious treat out during the afternoon/evening, and we felt at ease relaxing on the grounds with a book. The staff was also very helpful when it came to seeing the sights and giving tips about various restaurants. Breakfast was good-- generally some type of individual homemade quiche or souffle, and some type of muffin-- the only complaint I heard from my boyfriend was that there wasn't enough of it:) The homemade granola is quite tasty, and the fresh fruit was delicious (although the portion they give is way too small). If you want a quiet escape right outside of Bar Harbor, this is the place for you:)

My wife and I spent three wonderful nights in room number 8. Our room was quiet, a king sized very comfortable bed, and had a jacuzzi bathtub. Breakfast was amazing all three mornings, especially the popover special with strawberry and English custard filling. Jeani, the owner, takes French cooking lessons. Her husband, Jack, does the dishes and keeps the place running efficiently. Sheila, one of the managers, made brownies, molasses cookies, and walnut cookies for the patrons to snack on each night. My wife had the baked goods with a large assortment of teas provided. I chose to have mine with an 18 year old single malt Glenlivet on the rocks in a fine crystal glass supplied by the Inn. Every evening we spent on the large porch with a million dollar view of the bay and their large English garden and pool.

Room Tip: They are all nice, but choose a room on the top floor. I want room 7 the next time.

This may be the best B&B in the Bar Harbor Maine area. We just completed a three day stay and wished it was longer. The setting is amazing. Could easily be a post card. The inn is beautiful and well managed by a pair of pros. Jack and Jeannie are wonderful hosts and provide more luxury than you would normally expect on MDI. A great place for a romantic getaway or just to relax. Rooms 7 and 8 are the best, but all in the main house are well appointed. We look forward to a return visit.

Let me start this review by stating that we are a young, upper 20s couple from miami beach. We went on this trip for rest & relaxation and boy we got it! This place is BEAUTIFUL! The staff is amazing, Ellen, Jean, and Jack were pleasant, helpful, and friendly from the moment we got in. We felt like we had found a slice of heaven here. We even bought a bottle of wine after dinner and came right back to sit outside on our private balcony and enjoy the peaceful serenity. Pulling up we saw deer! The inn itself it gorgeous and the grounds are beautiful. Our only regret of the whole trip was only spending one night here. We WILL be back next summer and hopefully every one after that! Thank you !

We stayed at Moose Cottage for the 4th of July weekend. The cottage was clean, quiet and peaceful. An amazing breakfast was served every morning, not the typical muffins and preheated eggs. We are already planing out next trip and will defiantly stay here again.
