“Very happy with this hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 May 2014

We stayed here for 3 nights and were very happy with the quality of service (from several different employees), the hotel's amenities and cleanliness, and our room. We had the 2-night package (expanded to 3), which included dinner at the Bar Harbor Inn, a 2-hour nature cruise, and a $20 gift certificate in the hotel shop, all of which were terrific. The included continental breakfast offered lots of choices, and we were surprised to find afternoon snacks for all, including cheese and crackers and hot soup. Plus tea and coffee available 24/7. The hotel is perfectly located, about a 3-minute drive to Bar Harbor village in one direction, a 3-minute drive to the Hulls Cove entrance to Acadia National Park in the other. We will stay here again.

We arrived after a long drive from Keane NH and were greeted by a friendly staff member. I wish i could remember his name. He made our check in simple and fast. Wee needed to get some supper so he made some recommendations which was appreciated since most of the restaurants were closed for the season. That night we came back and there was a crock pot with soup and a cheese and cracker plate. The next night we ate at the hotel, minestrone soup and cheese and crackers. The breakfast was good and the OJ was very good. I loved the old milk dispenser and the milk was Ice Cold! I enjoyed sitting in the lobby area reading one of the free papers in a nice comfortable chair.

Room Tip: All rooms seemed to be good so i cannot give advise here.

We stayed at the Inn following this year's Boston Marathon. We found the hotel be a wonderful place to spend some quality R&R time.
The hotel is very clean. Our room felt very clean and modern. Probably just remodeled. The staff was very nice and helpful with directions around the area and amenities we needed.
One of the best parts was the breakfast they served. It went from 7-10'ish each morning. It had a wide variety of things to eat. They even put out a crock pot of soup each day in the later afternoon that we found very delicious. Also, they keep the beverage machines on the whole day, so you can help yourself to juices, milk, etc.
The location is top notch. We got up several mornings to watch the sunrise on Cadillac Mountain. It was only a 15 minute drive from the hotel to the summit.
Overall, we could not have been happier with our stay there. Highly recommend this place to anyone spending time in Bar Harbor.

We stayed there for easter 2014, some rooms (including ours) were freshly renovated. The room was clean, staff was very helpfull and nice. The internet was a bit slow. The heater/cooler fan was a bit noisy at night.

We stayed here for two nights when in town for the Mount Desert Island Marathon. The price was right, and the rooms were very nice. Perhaps the only problem was the elevator was extremely slow (so we only used it when we had our luggage).

The staff was extremely customer service oriented. When we needed some way to attach bag check tags to our drop bags for the race, the front desk clerk went through the tool box until we found a solution! I had expected to be turned away immediately. They also served breakfast starting at 5 AM so that race participants could eat. Obviously, this was a special event, but I have to imagine they have this attitude at other times during the year as well.

Acadia Inn is a great place to stay. The hotel staff was quite knowledeable, and the facilities were very nice. And, despite the best efforts of the federal government to ruin our vacation (i.e. - the 'shutdown'), we thoroughly enjoyed our 4 days in Bar Harbor. If/when we return, we will be staying with you again!

We really enjoyed our stay (two nights) at the Acadia Inn. The staff was very helpful and the place is an excellent bargain in a town with a lot of overpriced hotels. I also really appreciated that they boxed and mailed a couple of expensive shirts that we had left in a closet in the room. Many hotels won't take that extra effort. While the hotel is on the outskirts of Bar Harbor, its only a short drive to the town center. Most of the hotels are located in that area.
