This is an excellent place to stay. The room was extremely clean, not a spot of dust anywhere. The bathroom was also immaculate. The rooms were recently redone. Our room had a table and chairs, refrigerator, a large screen TV, and the bedding was very good, one of the best nights sleep I had on our 19 day road trip. The breakfast room was very pleasant and also neat and well cared for.The Inn is very conveniently located on the main road. It's close to the entrance to the park and not far from Bar Harbor. The people at the Inn were so friendly and helpful too. All in all, the stay couldn't have been any better than it was.

We had stayed at the Acadia Inn for a couple of nights and it was absolutely great! The staff were very polite and helpful with suggesting places to eat downtown. The continental breakfast selection provided was amazing. Definitely will be staying there again the next time I go down.

We arrived after a long drive from Quebec, Canada, on May 1. It was very early in the season and not too many businesses were open yet in Bar Harbor. The front desk staff was polite and welcoming. He was very helpful with information about places to eat, attractions etc. The Inn itself was warm, cosy and welcoming. Although they were in the process of upgrading and replacing carpets, appliances and fixtures all over the place, it was quiet, peaceful and well organized. They had quite a spread for breakfast, which was included. Coffee, hot chocolate etc were available 24/7; they even had cheese, soup, and some snacks during the evening hours. We stayed there for 3 nights mainly to visit Acadia National Park and explore Bar Harbor. It is located ideally close to both attractions. The rooms were spacious, clean and well furnished. All in all, a great place to stay in Bar Harbor. A very friendly and helpful staff made our stay even more enjoyable.

Room Tip: Rooms on the opposite side from the entrance have a better view - woods, birds chirping and the pool

We enjoyed everything about our stay. The only complaint is regarding the furnishings. The only chairs in the room were two upright upholstered dining type chairs which seemed odd considering there wasn't a table. An actual sitting chair or two would have greatly added to our comfort after a day of hiking in the park.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review about your stay on TripAdvisor. We are so glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay. We would like to mention that during your early season stay we were still in the process of renovating rooms and the shipment of lounge chairs for our king rooms were delayed. We tried to make up for the lack of seating in the room, by temporarily placing chairs that normally accompany an activity table in our queen rooms. Thank you again and we hope to see you in the future!

We stayed here for 3 nights and were very happy with the quality of service (from several different employees), the hotel's amenities and cleanliness, and our room. We had the 2-night package (expanded to 3), which included dinner at the Bar Harbor Inn, a 2-hour nature cruise, and a $20 gift certificate in the hotel shop, all of which were terrific. The included continental breakfast offered lots of choices, and we were surprised to find afternoon snacks for all, including cheese and crackers and hot soup. Plus tea and coffee available 24/7. The hotel is perfectly located, about a 3-minute drive to Bar Harbor village in one direction, a 3-minute drive to the Hulls Cove entrance to Acadia National Park in the other. We will stay here again.

We arrived after a long drive from Keane NH and were greeted by a friendly staff member. I wish i could remember his name. He made our check in simple and fast. Wee needed to get some supper so he made some recommendations which was appreciated since most of the restaurants were closed for the season. That night we came back and there was a crock pot with soup and a cheese and cracker plate. The next night we ate at the hotel, minestrone soup and cheese and crackers. The breakfast was good and the OJ was very good. I loved the old milk dispenser and the milk was Ice Cold! I enjoyed sitting in the lobby area reading one of the free papers in a nice comfortable chair.

Room Tip: All rooms seemed to be good so i cannot give advise here.

We stayed at the Inn following this year's Boston Marathon. We found the hotel be a wonderful place to spend some quality R&R time.
The hotel is very clean. Our room felt very clean and modern. Probably just remodeled. The staff was very nice and helpful with directions around the area and amenities we needed.
One of the best parts was the breakfast they served. It went from 7-10'ish each morning. It had a wide variety of things to eat. They even put out a crock pot of soup each day in the later afternoon that we found very delicious. Also, they keep the beverage machines on the whole day, so you can help yourself to juices, milk, etc.
The location is top notch. We got up several mornings to watch the sunrise on Cadillac Mountain. It was only a 15 minute drive from the hotel to the summit.
Overall, we could not have been happier with our stay there. Highly recommend this place to anyone spending time in Bar Harbor.
