We used the Quincy Marriot on our recent stay in Boston. We were in town to go to a red sox game and also a patriots game. The hotel was a great value compared with trying to stay downtown Boston. The room was very nice and clean. Plenty of room, and the staff was also very nice and professional. We ate lunch at the resteraunt in the bar once and it was fine. Maybe a tad pricey for what you get, and the menu is somewhat limited.
As an alternative to staying in downtown Boston, we felt good with our choice. We booked a Sat and Sun. night stay for $99 a night. Staying anywhere decent in Boston would have been twice as much or more. The savings don't come without some inconvenience. The "T" has a station in Quincy, so we took the train pretty much everywhere. The Marriot has a shuttle but it's hard to count on that being able to take you to the T station. If not, you can get a cab for about $5-6.The train ride in to Boston is about 30 minutes. Pretty good option to save some bucks , but you will need to plan your time and be flexible.
