Owner description: Designed to look like a Roman ruin, this golden building is certainly a beauty to behold.

We (a couple), visited the Palace of Fine Arts one June afternoon.

Our minds were blown not only because of the building itself, but of all its surroundings. The whole atmosphere becomes even more magic in case you visit it during late afternoon. The golden lights go through the building and land in the water.

The Palace is introduced by a big pond with fountains right in front of it. To make things even more dreamy, there were even swans in the pond! The building looked huge and spectacular. All kinds of trees, plants and flowers were around it. Some people even had a nice picnic lying on the grass of the gardens.

We had a chance to go around and through the Palace. It was very peaceful and only a couple of people were there except from us.

One thing is for sure, we will definately return there many more times.

Pictures could not do justice to the scale of this structure. You need to see it for yourself to believe the size and the grandeur architecture here.
A must do on your list in San Francisco!!!

This place is a bit of a walk from Fisherman's Wharf but so worth it!!! This is a gorgeous place to visit! Bonus it is free too! We saw several wedding parties taken photos. We sat on the lawn for an hour and relaxed. It is a must see in San Francisco!!

One of the must see buildings/areas in San Francisco. The area is just so beautiful and peaceful. We wandered around the pathways checking out the building, flowers and turtles!

This is a must visit place in SF. Not only it is beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing place, it is all free (no entry fee). They are all yours - the buildings, the facades, the gardens, the ponds, the swans, the birds, the ducks... even those amazing houses adjoining streets... Take your time, have picnic, find seat to sit, or take a walk and soaking all the beauty and the history. We enjoy it every time we go to SF. And, yes, we visit it every time we went to SF.
