Rode the cable car from Union Square up to Fisherman's Wharf. Went to Ghiradelli's for a while and took another cable car route back to the Square, pausing at Lombard Street for photos. Steep ups and downs make you slide across the seats! $7 a journey. Great to ride on these iconic historic cars.

Streets were like hills and valleys making the ride a little scary! Great picture opportunities and fun.

Rode it from ear ghirradhi square to union square. Was a fun experience hanging off the side as the cable car went up and down the san fran hills. Well worth the $7 each person, each way.

The ride on the cable car was as great as I’ve imagined it would be. I enjoyed being carried away by a historic piece and the sound this great cable cars makes it feel even better.
The drivers are enthusiastic and willing to tell you how they operate them. It’s reassuring to see how much they care about their great pieces of history.
It’s definitely worth trying while in San Francisco.

Was fascinated looking at them while walking in the downtown area. So wanted to get in, and using the MUNI mobile app purchased the ticket and got into the cable car. Its easy to get in from any side when its at the stop. Only thing didn't like are the sounds, clicking sounds and when breaking. its bit scary at times. They only run in the downtown but have good connections with the bus, and you can transfer the ticket to and from the bus. Recommend to ride them if you can for fun.

The queues were extremely long for this and it took us nearly 2 hours to get on and that too for a squashed ride. It is not a commuter ride but a tourist attraction so should be more comfortable and give people the ability to take pictures.

What else can there be to do when in San Francisco but ride the Cable Car. For $7.00 you cannot beat the ride and experience. Cable car operators and guides are so friendly. If you are staying in downtown SF, the Cable Car is the way to go

There is the Cable Car museum that is basic to know the magnitude of the complexity of the system. And it's surprising how they continue to use this transportation system being so expensive to maintain, in any case so is the price you have to pay to get on it, 7 dollars. The person who controlled the rear brake gave us a lot of information about the vehicle.

An iconic way to travel in San Francisco. Only downside is the long queues to get on the cable cars in the busier locations such as Fishermans Wharf.

I caught about four of these over the course of my stay and each time it was a different experience - some of the drivers are extremely charismatic and really make it fun! I stood on the outside for the full experience - you can just pay the driver on board it’s 7 bucks a trip
