“I really like the "F" line”
Reviewed 10 June 2014

After you take the cable car (get off at Powell and Market), take the "F" line down Market to the Ferry Building --- the Market Street Rail is like no other rail line in the world. Refurbished trains from around the world make the trip up and down Market to the delight of all. The cost of $2 is well worth the experience. If you have time, sit at one of the parks along Market and take pictures of all the various trains --- photos to follow.

“pick your time to travel”
Reviewed 31 May 2014

The F line can be very busy at times especially in late after and around 10pm. These are really wonderful things to ride and you never know what type will turn up next. There doesn't seem to be any loading capacity for how many pessanges your can get on one of these so it can be a bit SNUG sometimes, basically you can on if the doors will shut. I would say there is one word of caution, I was groped by a woman while on there one evening when it was packed but as a 44 year old man I took it as a compliment. By late evening a lot of people who ride it have been drinking but it was always a good ride with everyone chatting with each other.

“A must!!”
Reviewed 8 May 2014 via mobile

We visited San Francisco last September and everyone has recommended a trip on the cable cars!

They were not wrong. It's so much fun and a very good price!

Sometimes they can be very busy and overcrowded - but so can any transport! Just be prepared to que, and if you don't want to do what we did, walk down and get one up!

“Market Street Railway”
Reviewed 4 April 2014

We got off the Bart at Embarcadero and then took the F train to Powell walked one block to Mason and a very short walk to our hotel San Remo. It was a lot of fun and only $2.00 exact change when you get on and runs from 5 am-- 12:30 pm.

“The best 2$ ride anywhere!”
Reviewed 24 March 2014 via mobile

The street cars are just tremendous fun, they are a great way to get to the Ferry building or Fishermans Wharfe. Each of the cars has its own history, on one ride you are in a car which started its life in Italy, the next in the UK well you get the idea. The F line runs down to the Castro District and goes through some very interesting neighbourhoods!
