Stayed here for 4 days at the end of April and found it a very nice place to stay it was well situated clean, spacious rooms and very large bed. Easy reach to most places. There was a food shop TADS within 5 mins that was cheap and they loaded up the plate well for the day. No tea in room which would have been nice but there was tea and coffee available on each landing in the morning between 7am-10am so that helped. Room was cleaned every day and bed was remade by maid so it always look neat and tidy. Would recomend this hotel to anyone travelling to San Francisco.

Wow, had a great time. Upgraded to top floor and worth every penny.
Staff excellent and could not do enough to help. Great location and will be coming back again soon. Loved it and the place. Could not find one fault and coffee in the morning worth trying on the 10th floor.....

We stayed at the Kensington Park for our 25th wedding anniversary and it was the perfect place! The personnel were all professional and efficient. We had a welcoming bottle of wine, bottled water, and lovely bathrobes to help us settle in on our "mink" bed throws, which are the icing on the cake to some incredibly comfortable beds. The bathroom was spacious, well lit and the shower had great water pressure and seemingly unlimited hot H2O. The owner graciously phoned us to congratulate us on our anniversary. The KP has a lovely european feel, for those who prefer not to be in cookie cutter style hotels.

Room Tip: celebrate here

Good location, convenient to the San Francisco business district, Embarcadero, Union Square, shopping, etc. Quiet (enough) room, and comfortable. The place is s a little worn around the edges, sort of like an old English Guest House, but very comfortable and clean. Try the cafe next door (La Taza) for fantastic (and inexpensive) breakfast burritos and espresso.

We had 4 nights at this hotel. Although the old style of furnishings might not suit everyone we loved the warmth that was created by the staff and the small hotel feeling that is unusual for the centre of the city. Dorothy on reception and Bob on the door made an excellent team. Only minutes from Sears the famous breakfast restaurant, and the same distance to the cable cars made it easy to enjoy the city without too much effort. A 3 day bus pass is a must as is a visit to the science museum and the Japanese gardens. A great second trip for us both.

Room Tip: ask for a back room away from the main road.
