My stay at Bernal was amazing. Not only is the house charming, my bedroom cosy and comfy, the view, whether into the garden (which can be used as a place to take a leisurely breakfast) or out to the city lovely, but your hosts are genuinely charming, hospitable and above all fascinating people with whom you can really enjoy some good easy-going conversation. The location means your legs will get a fair bit of exercise coming home from a long day (or a night) out and about, but you'll feel great for it. Breakfast is a homely, vast affair: you just help yourself to stuff from the fridge, most if not all of which is organic and locally sourced, and if your host happens to be around at the time you will be treated to some delicious American fare like home-made pancakes, scrambled eggs etc. They are both involved in the gay community and have their finger on the social and political pulse of the city. A real delight.
