We stayed at the Hotel Del Sol with our three kids, aged 15, 12 and 9. We were there for 3 nights, in a "Junior Suite". It was cramped for the five of us (with a rollaway), but hey, it's San Francisco - we only really went back to the hotel to sleep!
The renovation and refurbishment of this classic 60s-style motel has been done really nicelt, with lost of sweet little touches - the mosaics on the doors, the handpainted globes outside the room.
It can be a bit noisy with people walking down the corridor, so bear that in mind if you're a light sleeper. Breakfast is a bit tricky, with not really enough space for more than two or three people to be getting their food at one time.
Overall, a lovely, cheerful place to stay in San Francisco, especially with kids in tow.More
