I'm a regular Marriott person, so I have a certain expectation. This one blew me away. From the moment we checked in to the time we left the staff was amazing. They were beyond pleasant, they were conversational, and actually remembered us from day to day. Very helpful with transportation, and ideas for exploring SF. The MOST helpful was the tip on how to get tickets to Alcatraz when all online outlets were sold out. The secret - they hold tickets open for first come, first serve. You do have to arrive early - we tried twice and were successful when we got there for 6:30. It was so worth it.
The only downside was that the concierge room was closed our last day - bummer, it's something I find very helpful for a quick bite before sightseeing. (I did get points back as remuneration).More
