Once again TA advice paid off. We did Dylan's Famous City Tour on day 1 during our first trip to San Francisco. Dylan made sure we all had an excellent day. Some of the stops included:
-Twin Peaks - he timed the trip to when the fog had lifted and we had a beautiful view of the city. Also, able to experience the SF culture..... this is a park where there was a small family playing with the dog, a homeless person sleeping, and a couple smoking pot. These groups were all within 100 ft of each other.
- Haight/Asbury- took us back to the 60s and early 70s.
- Mission District and Castro District, and sharing the history and evolution of each.
- Muir Woods to enjoy the redwoods
- Golden Gate Bridge - we think it was there in the fog.

The daylong overview gave us an appreciation of the city, the culture, and to help frame the rest of the visit. Thanks Dylan!!

Brendan, Dylan's brother, led the trip this day. He is a native of San Francisca and he really knows his city. He talked not just about the usual sites as we drove around, but also his experiences living in the city. We stopped at a number of locations during the day where we were able to get off the bus, look around, and take pictures. The bus only holds a maximum of 14 people, so it was great. No wasted time like on the big tours while you wait for everyone to get back. Their shop is also conveniently located, and they have another pickup point in Union Square. I also liked the fact that after the trip he was willing to drop us off anyplace around the city. We didn't have to go back to the shop. I had a great time.

After searching the internet for San Francisco tours, I read the reviews about this company on Trip Advisor. The positive reviews were right. This was the best tour ever! Dylan may own the company, but it is obvious he enjoys telling tourists about his city. He is personable and super knowledgeable. It is great to go on a tour in a van with a small group. Highly recommend this tour!

My boyfriend went on this while I was at work and 2 weeks later he keeps talking about how amanzing this tour was. He has been on tours all over the US and in many different countries and said this was one of the best tours he's been on.

He said that he found out so many great details about San Fran, took him to all of the toursty sites, but also around the city to show some off the beaten path places as well.

The tour guide was very knowledgable, friendly and no wonder why it's rated the #3 attraction in the city. It is a bit expensive, but you won't be sorry!
