Crissy Field is a land-filled area right on SF Bay with great views of the Golden Gate and the Bay to the north! Great place to bike, run, walk, hang out! Not too far from tony Chestnut Street shopping and right against the beautiful homes in the Marina district! As pretty a place to enjoy a nice walk, run or bike as there is in an urban setting on earth! Must do event!

Crissy Field is one of my favorite paces in San Francisco! It is the perfect walk or bikeride, along the bay to the base of the Golden Gate Bridge. It is also a great place to bring a picnic (picnic benches on grassy area) and go to the beach.

Upon a friends' suggestion we explored Crissy Field. There is plenty of parking and restrooms nearby. We parked near the Beach Hut and after having a cup of soup and bread and a mocha (all good!) we walked across the street to the Palace of Fine Arts. It's a beautiful oasis and makes you feel like you're in Europe. Lots of photo opportunities. We walked from that end to halfway to the bridge. It's a strip of beach where kids play and dogs roam, lots of bicyclists on the path. Being windy and cold it wasn't pleasant to walk so we drove to the other end where the Warming Hut is (store/hot food like sandwiches, soups, coffee is served.) From this end you have wonderful views of the GG bridge and can walk even farther closer to it. From here we continued on and explored Marin Headlands (across the bridge).

Beautiful beach. Walking along Crissy Field is the absolute best way to approach the Golden Gate Bridge and see it, in its iconic majesty, in the distance. You never get tired of the view, as you walk towards it, and hardly notice the hilly part at the end just before the bridge, in your excitement to reach it, Upon my first view of the bridge, I came out in goosebumps and now back home still can't believe I have actually visited it. It was wonderful to see families setting up their barbecues on Crissy Field and just enjoying the moment. Not to be missed!

House of air has an age requirement. My daughter wanted to jump on the trampoline, but was stuck in the bouncy house. She had a blast regardless. We enjoyed the seashore and will return for rock climbing/kite flying.
