“History of Wells Fargo”
Reviewed 26 May 2014

Located at the Wells Fargo office in San Francisco, this shows the history of the company and the family and the areas of business that it has been and is involved in. There are some interactive things to do, including morse code and stage coaches.
Children would like the interaction elements of the museum.

Interesting to find out that Wells Fargo was one of the founding fathers of San Francisco, but the museum doesn't tell you much more than the guide book.

“Free...Why Not?!”
Reviewed 29 April 2014 via mobile

This museum is rather small but free and definitely worth a visit. It has tons of cool things related to transportation finances and communication. It would be great for children as there are several opportunities for hands on engagement through out the exhibits. There is even a camera set up so it will take and print your picture! The employee at the museum was extremely helpful and offered lots of great tourist sites and tips!

“Free and fun”
Reviewed 29 April 2014 via mobile

Wells Fargo made this free museum into something. Apart from some history some dunny things to do (also for children). And as well a coachride simulator. Fun to learn that riding backward was better!

“Closed for renovation until November”
Reviewed 13 August 2013

A great museum about the history of the West with some valuable coins and gold ingots, maybe the only place in San Francisco where you still can see gold and silver with the Pacific Heritage Museum 2 blocks away and since the Old Mint closed years ago. There is also an old stagecoach in the window but be aware that the museum will be closed for renovation until November.

The Museum was a pleasant find as we were doing sightseeing in San Francisco. There were several exhibits that provided a narrative as well as movies of the Stagecoach era. Displays were awesome providing actual pictures and films of the gold rush era and lots of memorabilia. My wife and I took the stagecoach ride in an actual stagecoach with full narration of what it was like to go cross country. The museum was free.
