From the foggy San Francisco, we crossed the Golden Gate Bridge and entered a totally different world of winding country roads, sunny and warm but not too hot weather. Dakshina, our very knowledgeable and charming tour guide also happened to be an educated biologists, so she provided us with lots of interesting information about grapes and wine making. We visited three family wineries, each of them with an entirely different atmosphere and selection of wines, and at one of them we had a decent lunch, which for me was very handy as I wasn't distracted to finding and consuming a lunch. I liked the Sonoma town, it had a very cosy feel. Dakshina told us that we could have some free tastings there - cheese, chocolate or wine. Well, I went for another wine tasting and didn't regret as wines were delicious and the tasting menu was even more substantial than those of the wineries we've visited - and it was free. Next time in San Francisco, I will definitely have another tour with Green Dream Tours.
