“Pretty cool for fans”

Pleasant two hours spent following the exhibits of Walt's story from childhood on. I could have used more 101 Dalmatians and Lady and the Tramp, otherwise it was all there. Even the academy award with the seven little awards in a line. If you know what I'm talking about with that, then this museum is for you.

What a great find in the city. This family owned museum is in the Presidio. Gorgeous! Loved the museum and shop. This is definitely an adult friendly place!

“Great Fun for adults and children”
Reviewed 11 May 2014

Thank goodness we found out about this gem of a museum.

Whether you're a Disney fan or not you will become one after seeing this museum.

They have wonderful exhibits about Walt Disney describing how he became so successful in animation and theme parks.

They have a large area of free parking in front of the building.

Lots of memorabilia for Disney fans young and old.

Bring your camera for long term memories.

“A Must For Disney Fans”
Reviewed 9 May 2014

This is a 'must see' for any Disney fan. I was especially intrigued by the photos and history of his early life. Many of his awards are featured, including the iconic Snow White Oscar. It's an easy 2-3 hour visit, but it can last the whole day if you are really into Disney. There are movies and special exhibits as well. Since I grew up going to Disneyland from the time it opened, the museum brought back tons of memories.
The museum is located in the Presidio at the northern end of San Francisco and parking is limited. There is a free shuttle that leaves from the Financial District, not too far from the Ferry Building and drops you off at the Presidio Transit Center, just a couple of blocks from the museum. While in the museum, as you travel down the hallway from the 2nd floor to the main floor, watch for a spectacular view of the Golden Gate Bridge (weather permitting).

“Plan for 3-5 hours”
Reviewed 7 May 2014

We went to the museum, because the weather was supposed to be rain all day. We thought, maybe it is a place to stay 2 hours max. But the museum shows so many details in so many interesting ways, that we ended up spending 4 hours in the museum and we already skipped all the Disney World stuff. Was an excellent museum - for those with and even those without children.
