“Nice and Quiet”

Really nice little park in the middle of the city with great views of the painted ladies and the city. It's a bit of a climb, but worth it.

One of the Painted Ladies had as estate sale so we got to see the inside of it. It was so interesting. The view is spectacular. What a great park.

“Pretty”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 July 2014 via mobile

As another reviewer says some
Of the painted ladies are under renovation at the moment (and one or two could do with the same treatment).

Well worth a visit as it is pretty and with great views assuming it isn't foggy and there is a nice park to stroll and sit. It's well worth an hour of your time of in the area.

Two caveats, apart from the houses and the park there is nothing to see and secondly if on one of the hop on tour buses, they don't go past them as they have been banned, so will drop you off a short walk away.

“Painted Ladies under renovation”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 July 2014

Took a bus 21 to Alamo Square to see the Painted Ladies. However, the houses were under renovation. The view of the city from atop of Alamo Square is pretty good. There were people bringing their dogs to the park for a picnic. A good place to relax but may be rowdy depends on the crowds.

Visit this park if not just to see the painted ladies surrounding, but to walk the many streets around it. Alamo square is an entire historic district, and painted ladies are everywhere for your viewing pleasure. The park itself is also very dog friendly, with an off leash section.
