Description: Tacolicious is by no means a traditional taqueria-you won't find burritos here. What started out in the summer of 2009 as a little taco stand at the Thursday Ferry Plaza Farmers Market with a fittingly frivolous name, has become a sit-down, cocktail-driven restaurant, 120 tequilas strong. Tacos anchor a menu that extends to dishes such as beet salad with grapefruit and pumpkin seeds, tuna tostadas, grilled squid served Veracruz-style, albondigas, shrimp a la diabla, and toasted coconut flan. Like many native Californians, Mexican food is in us. Though we grew up traveling to Mexico regularly (and still do), it took a trip to Mexico City-where the food is served in settings as sophisticated and urban as you'll find anywhere in the world-for us to realize that tacos don't have to be relegated to street food or a corner mom-'n'-pop. We're proud to be based in San Francisco, a town where the words local, sustainable and organic have become so redundant that they make you want to yawn. But just in case you were wondering about our menu: The answer is almost always, "Yes, yes and yes."

Excellent spot for a quick lunch and drink. Fish tacos are fabulous and the service was great. Cool spot for a quick bite to eat.

“Innovative Mexican fare”
Reviewed 23 April 2014

Dined here on a Sunday evening. Ate indoors. Pleasant atmosphere. Not loud. Guacamole and salsa excellent. Chips good. Regular margarita and specialty margarita excellent. Tacos good. Salad excellent. In general the food was fresh and light especially when compared to Tex-Mex food. Younger crowd. Service excellent.

“Innovative creative taco's!”
Reviewed 19 April 2014

What a great menu with some awesome taco combinations. We needed to grab something quickly and were able to grab a table right away. The taco of the week was Korean Barbeque and it was delicious! You can order 4 taco's for $14.00 and we each ordered 2 and split it. These are small taco's and allows you to try several and share. Prices are good and the menu is varied.

“great ambiance, but greasy food”
Reviewed 13 April 2014

The guacamole and salsa are fresh and somewhat light, whereas the tacos are way too greasy and heavy.

“Stating the obvious, but great tacos”
Reviewed 7 April 2014

Came here simply as the beer garden looked like an escape from the sun. Grwat selection of beers, awesome and polite service and most importantly excellent tacos. Really worth a visit.
