How appropriate to be so close to the Opera House, where encores happen regularly. This place is amazing. We stayed there about five years ago, and it has only gotten better. The rooms are beautiful, beds comfortable, and the staff amazing! They all went out of their way to be sure we were happy, and used our name whenever they could. That's personal service. The continental breakfast was better than most, and staffed as well. And it's so nice that right around the corner is the revitalized Gough street area, with so many charming restaurants and a club or two.

Inn at the Opera is ideally located just steps away from the opera, symphony, and the ballet. The staff at the hotel are gracious and committed to making your stay relaxing and enjoyable. The rooms are neat and clean. We slept so well I mentioned that to the manager. He said they just put new matresses in the rooms. We'll be back!

Everything went great the two nights we stayed. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the rooms including the new beds were very comfortable, and even the complimentary breakfast was excellent. Thanks to everyone there!!!

My Husband and I celebrated our honeymoon in SF and received theh Inn at the opera stay as a Wedding gift. It was marvelous, could not have asked for a better place! It is centrally located yet quiet and restful. The hop on hop off tourist bus stops right in front of the hotel. Breakfast was yummy! Thank you all at the Inn at the Opera, we had a wonderful time and will stay again.

We stayed in the ballet room (smallest) for a week for our honeymoon and it was perfect. It's just a few blocks away from Union Square and centrally located in Hayes Valley. Hayes Valley has tons of cute small businesses with awesome restaurants. Loved this boutique hotel and complimentary breakfast was great and saved us money. Staff was very helpful with anything we needed for our room and suggesting things to do, places to go, etc. Oh, and forgot, we told them it was our honeymoon and they had a bottle of wine chilled on the house when we got in.

I presented myself at the Inn At The Opera for one night after almost 24 hours' traveling from Buenos Aires, Argentina. I'd requested an early check-in. The room was ready and the ebullient manager scrounged some coffee and fruit for me from the remains of breakfast. I felt immediately welcome and at home. After a nap and a shower, I was ready for a little California sunshine. I asked the front desk how to use the bus to get to the DeYoung Museum in Golden Gate Park and was offered the remains of a 7-day bus pass left by a considerate guest upon check-out. There is a nice-looking restaurant on-site which I didn't have time to try. The hotel offers a fine location for getting around and goes out of its way to keep your stay stress-free. Oh, and a few blocks away, you will find the sublime artisanal chocolate of Christopher Elbow. For medicinal purposes, of course. I will return.
