Had a two night stay for six (3 adults and 3 children) in the 1 Bedroom Suite. The staff in this hotel is what shines! We originally booked with Expedia, 3 months prior to taking the trip, but a week before the trip, when we called to confirm with the actual hotel, they only had us down for 2 adults in a room that only slept 4-5. Being as there was 6 of us, and Expedia's customer service would do nothing to help us out, we called Suites again (at this point a bit upset, considering there was nothing that could sleep 6 left available in the area, and explained what had happened), they explained to me that although the 2 bedroom suite could sleep 6, it was completely booked for the dates we needed them, but that they could get us a rollaway bed into our 1 bedroom suite, and that we should have no problems. Needless to say, I was grateful, but being as I had not been there before, I was concerned that we would have a tight fit. My worries were for nothing! The "room" (more like mini apartment) was more than large enough! Aside from the room, it had a full kitchen, dining area, 2 nice size closets, nice bathroom, and wonderful patio! The sofa sleeper was huge, and had a side chair that could also be slept on, and the rollaway fit with no problem.

This was the 4th hotel we stayed in, during a 2 week (8 different hotel), cross Cali/Nevada trip, and it was on the top of our review list. As I said previously, the staff at this hotel is what truly shines! They were there for anything we needed (questions, change, towels, you name it) and extremely friendly. More key points: GORGEOUS rooftop seating area with amazing view, parking (for about half the price of anywhere else around the area), laundromat on site, and close to many shops, restaurants, and all forms of transportation. Overall, not only is this place an amazing deal (when we had to check around to see if there was any place that could accommodate us, no one came even close to the price we were getting) but it is also a truly wonderful place to stay!

This property is in a great location just a block or two away from the wharf. A bit noisy - but you ARE in a busy city! The best asset this hotel has is Chris! We arrived late (10:30p) and prior to boarding our car transfer, decided to call to confirm our room was ready...only to learn they did not have a room for us. Having travelled for 9 hrs, this was bad news! Chris searched and searched...found that there was some info on us that somehow did not transfer from their online res system to the property. Hotel was sold out for the 1 bdrm units we reserved, but Chris put us in a 2bdrm at no addl charge for the night, and said he would work on the remaining nights. And that he did...we stayed in the 2bed for same rate throughout! These people worked hard to make us happy. In addition, the room was extremely comfortable and great location. I will ALWAYS stay here when I come to this fair city by the bay!

We were only here two nights so the location was perfect. We were close to so many places but not in the middle of the tourist heavy wharf. We rented bikes from "Blazing Saddles" right down the street and had a great guided bike ride across the GG bridge to Sausalito. It didn't hurt that the weather was spectacular, even in the morning. Great breakfast at Josie's and dinner at Scoma's, both very convenient to the hotel. Took the cable car to Trattoria Contadina at Mason and Union in North Beach, a fav of ours whenever we're in the city. The room was extremely clean, quiet and great for the 3 of us. Didn't use kitchen facility because our stay was so short, but it looked well stocked. Booked this on Expedia which showed availability when the hotel website did not!

We stayed here as Shell Vacation Club owners & enjoyed a room with a view of Alcatraz & Bay Bridge! Cable Car runs right by hotel! Having stayed in SF often we were accustomed to the city noises & actually enjoyed it. The units were nicely decorated and clean. The staff were helpful & friendly.

There is a parking area beneath hotel with limited space for parking but it worked out well for us.
We would definitely recommend!

Room Tip: Get a room facing North Point

After a long flight from NZ we arrived to find that there had been a double-booking and our rooms wouldn't be available until the following day. At first I felt a little stressed about this but the staff were wonderful, most apologetic and made speedy arrangements to accommodate us at another hotel a couple of blocks away. So no harm done. We spent the first night it the alternate accommodation and then returned to Suites at Fishermans Wharf for the next 3 nights and were most happy with our choice. The one bedroom suites that we had are big and spacious with a good and comfy bed-settee in the lounge. The only thing I found a problem was that the rooms were a little too warm given that we were there on hot days, the fan in the bedroom was not quite adequate. And I have to say again that the staff here are excellent, particularly Edgar who was a huge help to us with dine in meals, taxi's etc. Thanks Edgar, if every hotel had one of you how much easier life would be
