comparing to other hotels, aida is one of the cheapest considering its location.
The hotel is very dirty, the rooms smells bad, the bathroom is freakin terrible with a broken shower.
Constantly, hippies get inside the hotel to use the wifi in the common lobby, so, the sofas are pretty smelly. So, we was always scary of them.
There's no parking, so I've paid 200 dolars to park my car for 4 days

Overall very expensive for what it is. The area the hotel is located is not the safest in the city, especially at night. the whole hotel smells like urine. everything is very dated: vending machine out of order with at least 10 years old product inside, 2 years out of date freebees toothpaste in the room. just not pleasant at all and therefore not relaxing stay as you always feel something bad is around the corner and will happen to you. oH and the best, on new year day, the cleaners (good to know this place is cleaned..) started hoovering at 8am in the morning, REALLY?!

The hotel rooms were run down and had old furnishing. I have seen newer furnisings at a goodwill. The common bathroom had no fan and was the size of a small closet. But on the up side they had done some painting but it did not cover up the smell of uren

Room Tip: Don't. Stay here unless you have your shots

Worst location in Tenderloin, noisy, homeless problem and NO parking available. Parking is 3 blocks away on some of the worst streets in the city. Hotel is very old, dirty and not worth the price! Room was disgusting with booger on room artwork!! NO amenities. Worst part of experience is the hotels secret policies they divulge once you get there and THIS IS NOT ON THE WEBSITE! They make you check your key in every time you leave and they charge you $30 for any visitors to your room! They have cameras everywhere and are constantly asking you what room you are in. They even lock the elevator until you check in at the desk. EXTREMELY INCONVENIENT AND LAME! Was told my Mgmt. that it was for added security but that's BS and its just to make an extra buck! Fact is if they had a keyed entrance to the hotel no outsiders would get in. Stay away and don't be fooled by the lower priced rooms, they aren't worth it and your experience of the great city will be affected...

This place was horrible. Don't believe any good reviews on here. We got there late at night and found that the hotel doesn't even have a door so people can walk in and out at any time. The hotel is situated in the worst part of San Francisco (google this and you'll see) which was in the middle of South of Market and Tenderloin. The "check-in counter" was similar to one you would see at a pawn shop - with bars across the front. They told us we could park our car in this parking lot nearby - which was a place that made a deal with the hotel because it cost us $26 coming from the hotel whereas it would've cost only $10 if we weren't staying at this hotel. The neighbourhood was the scariest place. People were harassing us everywhere on our way from the parking lot to the hotel. We were so scared for our lives. The hotel was dirty and super dodgy. It's the kind of place you'd take your prostitutes to. The shared bathroom was so filthy and had no toilet paper all night. It was disgusting. My boyfriend insisted on standing outside the door while I went to the bathroom - it was that scary. At night when I got up to use the bathroom, I saw some very sketchy people hanging out at the end of the corridor in the fire escape. It was so scary. We wanted to leave that night but didn't want to go outside again. So in the morning, we just checked out (we were supposed to stay there three nights and had already paid for it) to go to another hotel. On our way out, we saw a sign by the elevator that said there was some radiation in the building that could cause us, and especially pregnant women, cancer. What the...

only good thing is the location. it is really close to the metro station but rest is terrible.hotel is really old, it smells terrible, rooms and bathroom were dirty, running water is working just only you keep tap turning, many homeless people front of the hotel, breakfast is only coffee and donut, you need to leave the key to the reseption when you leave the hotel during your stay, there is no hair drier in the rooms, wifi is working only at the lobby... etc. keep away from this hotel, don't waste your money!
