Hog Island is in the Ferry Building. This place was recommended by someone born and raised in San Francisco, and we loved it. and the oysters were fantastic. There are several choices, most from the West Coast. They happily supplied us with seafood sauce and horseradish for them, and the horseradish was freshly shredded - which was wonderful! They had a Peruvian ceviche with halibut that was also spectacular. The wine list was good, and there are tons of options for food - but we mainly focused on oysters. Plan on waiting as this place gets packed. There is outdoor seating, but if the weather is nice it will take a long time to get a table. Beware the parking is a nightmare, so cab it if you can. I will absolutely go back when I am in San Fran.
