“This is a very nice restaurant right in the middle of downtown”
Reviewed 18 July 2014 via mobile

The Daily Grill is very close to Union Square, next to Lefty O'Douls. You wouldn't know by the nondescript restaurant front but inside is beautiful steakhouse. It's larger than you think, wrapping around the glassed kitchen in the back.

The menu has a mixture of steaks, pasta, salads, their popular chicken pot pies and staple meat loaf. I tried the fab pork chop with mashed potatoes and tasty veggies. My wife was pleased with her chicken pot pie and salad.

Our waiter Henry was very pleasant, answered our questions, and checked on us frequently.

Dinner will range between $20-38/ person without drinks. This is a thumbs up mid-range restaurant.

“Good dinner in a tucked away location.”
Reviewed 14 July 2014

We weren't looking for anything spectacular, just a comfortable dinner and a couple beers.... and this hit the spot. A short walk from our Union Square hotel, menu was not expansive, but, had enough selections to make us think. I'd give it 3 1/2 stars to be precise.

“Breakfast nightmare”
Reviewed 14 July 2014

My family and I had breakfast at this restaurant. Where do I begin....
People that work there are rude... It doesn't hurt to smile
Breakfast took 45 minutes to come out and it was bland.
We ordered freshly squeezed juice and we got bottled juice in a very small glass.
The food had no flavour.
Go around the corner and eat at Bellisimo so much better.

Would not eat here again and would not recommend this place for breakfast.

“Very good restaurant - look past the exterior! ”
Reviewed 12 July 2014 via mobile

We visited this restaurant on our first night in San Francisco and it was recommended by our hotel the Inn at Union Square. When I walked through the door I was surprised as it doesn't look much from the outside but inside is a lovely welcoming bar and restaurant with fabulous food and drinks!
Take the chance and see past the exterior - this is a gem of a restaurant in Union Square!
