The restaurant was very small, but we were able to get a seat. This restaurant doesn't have the carts, you order off the menu and then they bring it out for you. Service was good, and the food came out really quickly. I would recommend this restaurant if you want a quick dim sum experience.

We were staying in the 'hood for a few days so got to check out a bunch of restaurants in an area that has significant Asian and Hispanic food influence. This is a typical Chinese/Vietnamese faster dining room food kind of place. It definitely won't win awards for taste, ambiance, cleanliness or service, but it's just good enough on all fronts. (There is an aquarium with a bunch of catfish swimming in the back which is interesting). I found it interesting that there was a line up and waiting list for the restaurant (nothing attracts a crowd like another crowd). We figured it was either that the food was amazing or it was low priced. Turns out its mostly the latter.

Yummy Yummy is a modest looking restaurant, it is not fancy or pretty, no expensive artwork hangs on the walls, it is located in a not-so-special neighborhood, but when you walk by the place, you can't stop wondering why are all those people waiting outside almost at any time of the day, and where those divine smells are coming from... So, my girlfriend and i went inside and decided to sample the food....in a few words, its authentic, fresh, delicious and plentiful, and so inexpensive!!!! we started withe the seafood soup for 2, made to order, with strips of calamari steak, chunks of pangasius fish and shrimp, scallops...absolutely delicious!!!we sample the Vietnamese style spring rolls, and they were so tasty, and we handed up with the house specialty...crab!! they have around 25 ways to cook dungeness, i opted for the salt and pepper with small pickled chillies and it was incredible flavors, no finger wipes, a little bit messy but excellent!!!The place was packed, packed with couples, families of Asians ascents as well as other ethnicities, and you could hear these people shouting compliments at the owner-manager across the room!!!! i wish i could have spoke Vietnamese and do the same thing! The Owner is a real pro, i talked to him about how great his food was and he was modest, almost shy about it!!!we waited a tiny bit longer for a second course that we should have, and in the middle of the dining room, he bought us a drink to apologize, which we really didn't need, as i do not mind waiting a few extra minutes for quality product!!How did he spot that, i am still wondering! for all of you, great food lovers, this is a no-brainer, and an opportunity to immerse yourself in the vibrant Asian culture scene of San Francisco!!!(do not miss any of the crab dish)

We were the only out of towners there. Lots of steaming pho in bowls. Everything with noodles. Add your own sauces. Not too generous with the meat, however.
