From the dark wood paneling, tables and dated decor as well as cafeteria style seating - to the menu board and selections, step back into the 70's at Tad's Steakhouse in San Francisco. This review is based on their BREAKFAST Menu..... Decent Breakfast food (eggs, pancakes, toast), Good Coffee and above all.....prices from 1974. While far from fancy, (VERY FAR!) this place hasn't changed at all. If you are looking for a change from big chain restaurants ( Tad's was a large Chain at one time, there is one, maybe two left in New York City) and high priced hotel establishments put on your polyester slacks and walk over to Tad's for a greasy spoon breakfast. While the atmosphere is far from stellar, it is unique & part of the whole experience ! My Breakfast was served in under 5 minutes, fresh & hot! Plain and simple just a decent breakfast at decent prices which seems to be hard to find in San Francisco!Looking forward to trying their Bargain Steak dinner on my next visit to S.F. Overall Breakfast rating~ Very Good!
