A little expensive but fun for what it is. Gives you a very San Francisco feel inside the restaurant. Especially nice to get a yummy bread bowl with soup on a cold rainy SF day.

Their prices are out of the roof, the bread is not bad, but the crust is so tough you need serious knife to open the loaf. There are better places to spend your money unless you are just looking for a novelty food item.

Delicious bread! Its not a restuarant where you sit down and have your order taken (need to order and then you find your own seats). Purchased clam chowder which was great.

I was amazed at the variety of bread they have here. I figured we'd stop in an pick up some sourdough bread to take home. Was told at the Ferry Building that Boudin has the extra sour "traditional" SFO sourdough bread that people associate with SFO. Purchased a Garlic Cheese "Volcano" Sourdough. Fantastic!

We ate in the cafe as we couldn't get a seat in the upstairs restaurant (which was a bit of relief as it seems a bit over-priced). Cool to see bread being made, but the food was just okay - nothing remarkable about the sourdough bread - would have expected the same at a place like Panera in anytown, USA.
