I loved everything about this gallery: the architecture (Frank Lloyd Wright),the atmosphere, the people, the gallery itself....
It had a real wow factor for me.

“Frank Lloyd Wright in S.F. and great Asian art.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 March 2012

If you like architecture, you mustn't miss this hidden gem on Maiden Lane. Originally designed by F.L.W. as a gift shop, it is now a gallery of folk art. In addition to being a stunning piece of architecture it houses an interesting collection of folk art. The upper floor houses an excellent selection of Tibetan artifacts. The people who work at the gallery are very welcoming and helpful. This restored F.L.W. building shouldn't be missed.

“The only Frank Lloyd Wright building in San Francisco"”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 July 2011

The gallery offers folk and ethnic art and the staff is always very welcoming to any one who just wants to wander in and look at the design of the building.

The building was a small commission for Wright and includes features that Wright used in both the Guggenhiem in NYC and the Johnson Wax Building in Racine WI. Don't miss his signature tile on the exterior of the building.
