I liked this hotel, but didn't love. After staying at other St. Regis hotel's my expectations were high. In some places it was fabulous in others weak. I am platinum, and I had to ask for an upgrade, no offering of late check out, or paper small services that are common for the St. Regis. Also the continental breakfast is $29 and so not worth it, I wanted to switch to a full breakfast they said I couldn't do it even thought the full breakfast was less expensive on the menu. They were VERY inflexible with this. I had a card that told us how long we had breakfast and the waiter in the restaurant actually argued that we needed one for each day. if that was an issue they should have taken it up with the front desk and not us, very unprofessional. Bed was great, housekeeping did a great job and front door staff was super. the concierge helped us book a day trip and went above and beyond, but the small things that went wrong disappointed me. Of all the St. Regis I have stayed not my favorite one, needs a little work

This place disgusted me. When we are paying $700 USD a night, I expect at least a 5 star service from the Hotel. Unfortunately, this was not the case, This hotel is worse than a one star hotel.

First of all, broken bath tub. House keeping obviously does not check bath tub is in working order in this hotel. The TV did not work either so they had to reset the TV. What top it up was the luggage. We were waiting for our luggage to arrive at this particular hotel. We spoke to several staff at the front office as well as the concierge desk. While checking out, we asked for the last time whether our luggage has arrived or not. Their response was NO. So we left San Fran to go on to our next destination. 30 mins after our check-out, one of the staff called my husband to tell him that they in fact had our luggage all along. Then they finally, asked our credit card details so that we can pay for their mistake and ship our luggage to the next destination. Great!

Five star prices and NIL star customer service, customer experience and product. I will never ever come back to this awful hotel.

The St. Regis Hotel in downtown San Francisco is about as good of a hotel as you may ever stay. From the opening of the doors to the checking out at the end of your stay, you will be pampered and taken well care of. The staff is exceptional as you would expect from a hotel as quality as this hotel is. The cost is a little high, but the hotel amenities makes up for the price. It is a modern facility with everything you would ever need under one roof. The Vitrine Restaurant, the bar, workout facilities, room decor and comfort are over the top. The location is terrific whether you are in San Francisco for business or pleasure. It is a short cable car or taxis ride to Fisherman's Wharf. From Fisherman's Wharf you can take in a tour of Alcatraz or take a boat ride around the bay. The Golden Gate Bridge is also fairly close. If you wish to dine elsewhere besides the hotel, you will find that the St. Regis is in the middle of restaurant heaven.
