Hotel staff is very courteous and accommodating, wonderful to deal with unfortunately the hot tub did not work our entire stay and the size of the rooms is too small for a 4 star hotel. Beds are very comfortable, bathrooms are nicely sized, decent water pressure. The hotel itself is very clean. Anzu is a fantastic place to eat. Good location but go towards the Union Square area when venturing out going west just a few blocks puts you in a rough neighborhood.

Room Tip: Higher floors are better, stay towards Union Square when walking around.

Hello KevinBromagen!

We are so glad that overall you found your room and staff exceptional. Thank you for a 4 circle rating. I will pass the compliments to the Chef at Anzu Restaurant and the comments about the neighborhood to the SF City management.

Thanks for making Hotel Nikko your San Francisco hotel of choice!
Best,
Anne Hudson

My wife and I spent four nights at Hotel Nikko while I attended a meeting there. From the outset everyone was pleasant and very helpful including the front desk and concierge. We had requested a small refrigerator (no additional charge) and it was in our room when we arrived. The room was bright and not too small as others have mentioned. The bed was extremely comfortable with great pillows. The bathroom was huge by usual hotel standards. We were on the 12th floor and heard some street noise but it was not disruptive. The hotel fitness center was closed which my wife was disappointed about but free access to the Hilton fitness center across the street was provided. The hotel location is great for shopping and dining with many options from high-end on down for both. The hotel is only a few blocks from the Bart station.

Room Tip: Request upper floor.

jorge007 (Great name by the way!) Hello!
Fantastic! You made our day with a perfect 5 circle rating. We do hope you and your wife will return for a visit with Hotel Nikko soon. Our fitness center renovations are complete. So, come back and enjoy an evening swim in the atrium pool.

Happy Travels,
Anne Hudson

We spent two nights at Hotel Nikko during a recent visit to San Francisco. It is in the "heart" of Japantown. The room is on the small side, but quite clean. The king bed was very comnfortable and the city views were great. The bathroom is the focal point, with a traditional Japanese stool and a soaking tub.

Room Tip: An upper floor affords better views.

I think I just found my regular hotel for all of my San Francisco trips, business or pleasure. Restaurants are well decorated, and offer fantastic choices if you choose to eat or drink on site. If not, you are a short walk from Union square, and a comfortable walk to China Town or North Beach. Beds are uniquely arranged and the beds are the best I've had in SF. Bathrooms are amazing, and the towels are very soft to the skin. Only complaint is the fitness area and pool are at an extra cost. But still wont keep me from rating the property as Excellent.

Room Tip: Spa and pool are an added charge. Parking is pricey, but it is San Francisco.

Erichooter,
Thank you, Thank You, Thank You! You made our day with five stars and the magic words" your new, regular San Francisco Hotel."

Hurry back and when you do take a look at tha good value if you decide Special Packages on the Hotel Nikko website for deals on upgraded rooms and that include amenities. Also the Health Club/Gym charge is a flat rate, $20 for the entire stay, so a good value if you decide to do an add on instead.

Best,
Anne Hudson

I stayed here for seven nights in May of 2014. By the end of my seven nights I was ready to be home. The room was not overly large, but was not the smallest room I've stayed in. The staff was very helpful and very polite. The hotel was a few blocks away from the Moscone Center, where I was attending a conference. It is also within a couple blocks of the trolley, trains, and bus stops. San Francisco mass transit is a little confusing, so I was glad to have the concierge at the hotel to help.
