From the address (Union square) you think you would be on safe ground, but it surprising what a couple of blocks make. The only way I could describe the hotel and area is a doss house. The hotel lobby dark small &dingy. The stairs were never hovered all the time we were there. They wanted to give me a card (room key) in a sleeve with the room number on it plus the name of the hotel . so if you lost them they could be in your room before you even realised . Only one person in the lobby no security. I made him give me one without the number on. The lights in the bathroom kept going on and off. Running a bath the water came out of the shower at the same time soaking everywhere. Toilet seat was peeling. The noise was unbearable at night, was told at 1.30am that it was an ice machine. We moved next day. A few yards from the hotel is a bus stop. Just as we got to it a man sitting in a wheelchair was urinating. A few yards past that was a group of drop outs , they all looked as if they were on drugs. We went to the hotel from a cruise all booked by ADORE CRUISES. I saw the address nr union square and thought that will be ok. WHAT A DIFFERENCE A COUPLE OF BLOOKS MAKE. Breakfast , thin plastic knifes and forks, cheapest paper plates, toast was ok.
