What a great Hotel. Positioned perfectly in amongst the action of San Francisco. Great service. Room was beautiful and roomy for 2 adults and 2 children. Concierge was so helpful in choosing the right tours to enjoy with limited tome. Looking forward to returning.

Hyatt usually does a great job and this one is no exception.
They have nice rooms -- although pretty small.
Unfortunately their rates and add-on charges are sky-high! Watch your hat and wallet!
Parking and internet charges are exorbitant -- ugh!
These hotels are going to eventually kill their golden geese like they did
with high rates for telephone service.

Nevertheless this a great location with good service.
Since my last visit, the remodeled the hotel and moved the top floor view lounge
down to the 2nd floor. The beautiful views are now only available to conference rooms!
Definitely not a smart idea! Businesses don't want their business meetings with distractions.

Too bad... so sad -- we used to like this hotel.

Spent 2 nights holiday w/c 15/4 on a recommendation from a family friend, who stayed @ G.H. Union Square Oct.'12. Check In quick/efficient; originally requested high floor Bay view but got 7th. floor street facing; however room was well appointed & quiet @ the end of a corridor.

Good choice @ breakfast, including plenty of fruit in buffet. Staff were very helpful, especially one of the breakfast management team who printed me a map where to catch bus & number.

Hotel location is good for shops, restuarants & transport. We got from Market St. to Golden Gate Park, Ashbury/Haight, Lombard St., Ghardelli Sq. & back to Powell Street at a leisurely pace, on a $14 Bus/Tram day pass!

Not the cheapest in town, but "you get what you pay for". Used "Super-Shuttle" from SFO @ 2 x $17 plus tip. However, the hotel limo service to SFO, via Tom a friendly driver, was well worth the $40 fare + tip!

Room Tip: Go for high floor if you can get one.

Stayed for 3 nights with the family in a Union Square facing room. Since the renovation both the lobby (fire places) and the rooms are fantastic = new, nice and cosy. The location is great with about 20 meter to the Union Square. I would highly recommend it.

We havent used any of the restaurants. Used the gym and its a nice high end 24 hours gym.

Service was mixed. Friendly welcome, luggage to room took 5 hours and a call, despite no disturb sign house keeping was busy cleaning right in front of the door - every morning. 2-3 more slips. While there are two garages next to the hotel, these come at a price.

Again, we liked it and would recommend the place.

Stayed in the Grand Hotel for 5 nights without any issues, had a good view of the bay from my 24th floor room. Hotel has live music a couple of nights a week in the bar and can get quite busy, food in restaurant and bar good was disappointed with breakfast but grab n go breakfast service is good value and fast. Used SuperShuttle for transfer 2 and from the hotel, just under $20 each way and about 40mins. When I next go back to San Fran will probably stay in the Gran Hyatt again

Room Tip: Higher the better
