My sister and I took a trip to San Francisco and we couldn't be happier with our choice of hotel. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. The room was spacious enough and very clean. The bed linens were wonderful and the bed very comfortable. Enjoyed the complimentary wine, the cookies/milk served in the lobby. The location was great for us.
It is near the Ferry Building and the fabulous restaurant, Boulevard is on the corner. Would defintely stay again.

I stayed here for work. The staff were friendly, the hotel attractive and comfortable. I had a room with a stunning view of the ocean. When I wasn't working, I walked down to AT&T Park and saw part of a baseball game. The food at the nearby Ferry Building is great. I got a super yummy egg and cheese on a baguette for breakfast. I also took a really good yoga class at the YMCA next door.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view... it's worth it.

Small but absolutely adequate room for the price. Great bed. Decent location near the Ferry Building. One of the free SF Library tours even goes through the lobby. Nice happy hour. i will stay here again.

Room Tip: Skip the view to get the cheapest room.

We arrived tired from a long flight from Australia, to a warm welcome from the staff at the Harbor Court. Even though it was quite early our room was ready, and their welcome set us up for a great 5 night stay. Yes, the room was a little small, but we knew that beforehand, and everything else about the hotel made up for it.
We enjoyed the Happy Hour in the evenings, just the thing to relax us after a day of exploring all the many delights that San Francisco has to offer. The young, hip staff happily reconfirmed our bookings for a Sonoma Vallry Wine Tour with Terrific Tours, and a walk in the Muir Woods with Tom, both of which were wonderful.
The location of the hotel so close to the Ferry Building was a great plus, and we enjoyed the restaurants and the Farmer's Market, also it was close to the Amtrak Building from where we departed from to start our journey accross the USA.
The Harbor Court Hotel was a fantastic introduction to a wonderful trip to the USA, and we would love to stay there again, and have told our friends and family about it.

Room Tip: Read the website which clearly states details about the facilities available. The rooms are well dec...

We stayed here based on a recommendation from a friend to make sure we stay in the embarcadero part of San Fran. The hotel was decently nice, more of a boutique hotel feel. The room was uber tiny though, way smaller then we thought for over $300 a night. My boyfriend and I felt that was a bit over-priced and should have been nicer and bigger for the money. Also, reception failed to mention we got free breakfast the 1st day so we ended up going out to eat and wasting $50 when we could have ate for free which really irritated us. Overall it wasn't horrible but it wasn't as nice as it should have been for that kind of money. It was clean, quiet and had free internet so those were all pluses.

We had a great stay at the Harbor Court. All in all there is a lot to commend the place and we may make this our regular San Fran hotel.

LOCATION: The location is superb - near the water and the fabulous Ferry Building makes for cool breezes and affordable breakfasts and snacks. It was great to have the farmer's market across the street. It's away from the Ghiradelli Square area that gets noisy and sometimes unsavory. Also one of us had a knee injury so it was nice to be able to get out and walk places without immediately encountering hills. I've stayed at the Fairmont and boutique hotels downtown, and walking anywhere is definitely a chore from those places if you are temporarily or permanently disabled. Tons of buses come within two blocks, and BART and Muni are also right there, so we didn't rent a car and took public transport everywhere.

ROOMS: Definitely spring for the bay view room - the view is spectacular. Since, as many of the reviews mention, the rooms are small, having that expansive view opens up the room in a really nice way. The bed was comfortable enough and the room was clean. The cleaning staff was actually great about accommodating our needs given that we were needing big bags of ice and strange room cleaning times.

SERVICE AND AMENITIES: The service was good without being over the top. If you like fawning service, this may not be for you. But if you like friendliness and helpfulness from young, energetic people, this is a good fit. We enjoyed the little touches - flavored waters all day, coffee in the morning, the cookies in the evening, Aveda products in room, and they even brought up a bottle of wine for the birthday we were celebrating! I loved having the YMCA as the gym- so convenient and even though it's $10 a day it's totally worth it if you want to have real workouts (more than a treadmill and some 10 lb. weights) while you are away. I also liked having the little Japanese restaurant attached - it was convenient and decent food.

VALUE: If you like a big room, you will find this to be pricey and disappointing. However, if your key components are location and service, then the price is right. Become a Klimpton program member and you don't have to pay the surcharge for wireless. I booked through the website and got as good of a deal as from any travel site. Given that we didn't need to rent a car and had easy access to cheap food, I would say the value was great.

Room Tip: Bay view king!

I booked this hotel on Hotels.com based on the positive reviews from other travelers. I was not disappointed. This is modest sized hotel with clean rooms and very professional staff. I booked a double room, which was on the small side. But the room had plenty of modern touches, including a flat screen tv, and iPod clock radio. Wifi is free in the room provided you sign up for the hotel's frequent guest program. The location is right across the street from the Ferry Building so I had plenty of dining choices nearby. I had a business meeting in the Embarcadero Center, which was only a short walk away. This is definitely a 3.5 to 4 star property and much cheaper than comparable hotels nearby.
