This hotel was perfect for our extended stay. While we did not stay in a newly renovated room, we had a very clean, well equipped room on the third floor with everything we needed and quiet nights' sleep. We had double beds (each with 5 pillows; soft & firm). Location was optimal for our sight seeing, access to bus / cable car and numerous choices along the wharf area. Staff was helpful in coordinating airport shuttle, directions and anything we needed. Would stay here again.

My family and I stayed at The Holiday Inn earlier this year and we stayed there for 4 nights. We were very pleased with the hotel and thought it was of very good value. The hotel rooms were tidy and clean and although they're was a little bit of noise from the streets surrounding the hotel we were able to sleep pretty well each night. The location was the best part of the hotel as you were in walking distance of many places and attractions. It wasn't far to walk anywhere and they're were some very nice restaurants and shops near by. This hotel is also very close to the cable car. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it for people wanting and average but nice hotel.

Room Tip: Try get a higher level room to get away from the street noise.

To say the least: for the exuberant rate this hotel charges, we find that the services and quality does not met that level. The regular rooms are less than acceptable in terms of furnishing and finishes. The bathroom, walls, beds, and tv are outdated. When we complained, we got moved to the better "Rewards" level, on the fourth floor. The rooms look like then underwent a facelift, a cheap one may I add. Upon arrival we found someone else's hoes under the bed, the fridge provided was nasty, and mold was obvious at wall corners. Even worst, the bathroom plumbing was terrible, and the bath tub was so used and worn, that we dared not bathe our toddler in it for the entire stay. We have attached pictures for all of what I have listed here. When we ordered room service for dinner, the trays where clickity, rusted, and on life support. The ONE ONLY good thing about the hotel is the location. But given there are three other hotel choices on the same block, needless to say, we would not stay here again. Did I not mention the one night we came to the room and it was not serviced. Trashes were full, no clean cups, no towels, no toiletries. They sent the items real quick, but we never go an apology for such a botchy stay for few days in this hotel. It was business as usual for them.

Room Tip: If you must stay here, pick the rewards level or better.

We had a wonderful stay. The front desk graciously accommodated our request at check-in for a quiet, non-smoking high floor room, away from the street noise. We loved the newly refurbished room with a surprise view of Coit Tower and the City, especially beautiful at night during the holiday season. Our room was large and quiet, with a very comfortable King bed, new flat screen TV, microwave, mini-fridge and single cup coffee maker (the coffee is awful, the only negative). We parked at the hotel lot, as it is secure, with parking until 6pm day of check-out. I love the experience of staying in high-end accommodations when in SF, but this was a surprisingly outstanding experience for a fraction of the cost! When we called for extra towels, they were delivered immediately. A complimentary 24/7 business center upstairs and lobby kiosk to print out airline boarding passes were added bonuses. Walgreens is conveniently located around the corner with a Starbucks next door. Everything within walking or cable car distance. You honestly can’t beat the location, price, amenities, accommodating staff, and quality of this hotel. We enjoyed our stay and we will be back!

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room on a high floor, away from the street noise.

Very nice, upscale hotel at Fishermans Wharf within walking distance of many shops, restaurants, street car and cable car! It was late when we got in, but we had a great meal in the hotel restaurant. We were there only over night, and because of our short stay, we didn't get to experience any of the amenities, but they let us have a late check out so we could enjoy the city the next day. I would definately stay at this hotel again! We really liked the area.

We have been to San Francisco many times always staying in the Union Square area. We decided to stay at the wharf because we got a fantastic rate at the this hotel. We also thought it would be a more interesting area for the four grand kids, ages 13 to 8, we had with us and we were right. The hotel is the usual hotel. The room we were in could use some updating but there was a flat screen TV. Our room had two double beds and there was still plenty of room to move around. We also appreciated the connecting door to our other room. All the staff was friendly and helpful. There is a little restaurant and coffee bar that sells Starbucks. Every evening there is a happy hour in the bar and the wine, beer, and well drinks were quite reasonable. I can't say enough about the great location. Fast food and higher end restaurants everywhere, two cable car lines within a few blocks, bus line just out the front door that went through China Town and Union Square and the street car a block away that went to the embarcadero and the ferry building. It was also a great area to walk around. We would definitely stay here again!
