We went end of January, a bit off-season, to San Francisco.
This hotel is absolutely great value for what you pay.
If you are OK with an middle size room, a bit older building, but well maintained,
then this is a good place for you. Very friendly and helpful staff, simple but OK breakfast,
just great for starting the day.

Free Parking!!!

The location is fabulous!
Walking distance to the Wharf attractions
Bus stop nearby.

Nothing to complain !

We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to S.F.

I'm here right now. Its an older place and the rooms are small but it's centrally located, very clean and the staff is wonderful. The bed is comfortable and the room has coffee maker, small fridge, iron/board. We will be here for four nights and we're very happy. We are on a tight budget ...So with their price, you can't go wrong. Don't let the outside fool you. Save your money on the sites of the city and stay here.

We stayed at the San Francisco Inn a week ago for 5 nights. Our review is reflective of the price we paid for the hotel. We scored a great deal on Booking.com and were very impressed with the facilities and quality of services for the price. Prior to this hotel, we were staying in hostels for the same (or more) amount. We much preferred having our own private room with the in-room essentials such as a fridge, microwave, private bathroom, TV, etc. The room was average size, but perfect for what we needed. The free breakfast was an added bonus and definitely saved us a lot of money not having to eat at a cafe every morning. They had a large variety of options (cereals, fruits, yoghurt, juices, danishes), plus they had coffee on the go throughout the day. Awesome for me as a coffee lover! Our room was serviced daily.

The location was pretty good. It was a fair distance from downtown San Fran (about 30 minutes walk to Union Square), but public transport made getting there very simple. The bus stopped right on the corner of the street, about 10m from the hotel. It had a clear direct route into town. Trader Joe's, the local grocery store, was also very close, making grocery shopping highly convenient. It was only a 5 minute walk from the hotel.

The staff were very helpful with all of our questions about sightseeing and evn recommended a few hotspots around town. Overall, very good value for money. We would highly recommend this place if you are travelling on a budget.

We stayed for 2 nights in mid September.
The room was very small but clean, and very quiet. The receptionists were super friendly and nice as well as very attentive.Breakfest is served by the reception desk, we took ours up tp our room,
The free parking is a real bonus.
Great location by foot or car, just 10-15 minutes of walking from Union Sq.but the entire area is quite creepy at night...

The place is a bit of a hack, but I feel I should be a bit less critical as the staff was trying really hard to make visitors' stays enjoyable. However, they had little to work in their favour. First, the location is terrible - do not walk around here at night by yourself! The rooms are facing an open space parking lot and I actually wondered how hard it is for someone to climb to your door right from the street. In other words, it does not look like a secure place and, given the neighbourhood, this can be challenging. The doors don't close very well and the windows (which face the same parking lot) don't look to safe either.

The place seems cheap, but it is actually quite expensive for what it offers.

Dear Aschiuta,

We are very sorry about your unpleasant experience. But maybe it was just the circumstances you were in. Our hotel is in the Soma District of San Francisco, which is quite well known for it’s night life, but there aren’t many safety concerns in this neighborhood. People often come here for the convenience our hotel provides by being at a short distance from the great things to be enjoyed in downtown San Francisco. I am sorry, the staff should have reassured you about the how safe our property is: we have security cameras all throughout the property; there is only one entrance in and out, and only guests have access to it; and there is always a night employee on duty to assure that everything is going well. We hope you come back to stay with us, and we will make sure you enjoy your stay this time. Thank you

The hotel is infested with pidgeons, which are very noisy during the evenings.

The breakfest is regular to poor.

Good thing is that the parking slot is for free. You will be also from a walking distance to Market Street, full of stores...
