Courtyard San Francisco Fisherman's Wharf

I stayed at the Courtyard Fisherman's Wharf for 6 nights in March.

The hotel is in a great location, right by the touristy Fisherman's Wharf, so you can easily go for a wander around. There are lots of nice little restaurants in the area, and you can even walk to Alcatraz Landing and Pier 39.
There is also one of the main cable cars stop right next to the hotel which is very convenient for sightseeing.

The room was itself quite simple but comfortable. There is also a breakfast place in the hotel, and free wireless.

I would stay there again if I ever go back to San Francisco as it was a good value hotel.

I recently stayed at this hotel with my 80+ year old Mother. We were able to walk back and forth to Fisherman's Wharf, Ghiaradelli Square and the Gray Line tour office. Cable cars just blocks away. The room was clean, well appointed and quiet, even on a busy street. A small café is available for breakfast and snacks, with outdoor tables if the weather is nice. Very polite and helpful staff and valets, even handing us bottles of water after picking up the car on a hot day. Not sure about airport access, we took Amtrak, and were dropped off at Fisherman's Wharf. We would definitely visit again, and highly recommend this location.

We stayed in room 231 on May 14 - 16, 2014. We stayed near Fisherman's Wharf since we were traveling with friends who preferred this location. We booked far in advance for the best price and this was the best value available in the area.

I suspect we would have had a little nicer location at our Marriott elite level but our friend arranged to have our rooms assigned side by side. We had the view of a parking garage directly across a small alley from our room. At alley level was a bicycle rental shop. I wasn't crazy about the bathroom and the layout. The counter extends across the back of the toilet. I'm always worried something will get knocked in and of course you can't stand in front of the counter except right in front of the sink. I forgot to take photos, sorry.

The room and hotel were very clean. We were able to use the faster paid wifi for free as higher level elite members without a problem. No speed issues whatsoever. I wasn't crazy about most of the dining options around here which are mostly pricey and tourist quality. We found much better options a couple of miles away where we walked towards the other end of the embarcadero and we took the trolley back.

It was fun to be very close to Ghirardelli and explore their chocolate availability. Buy your chocolate at Walgreens, which is very close by, for much less money.

The people who work here are all top quality and hospitable. The lady at reception was very pleasant. The concierge was especially eager to help in any way he could. We met Nelson, the outgoing bellman, the last morning. He guided us to our best breakfast in San Francisco at Joanie's Happy Days Diner and told us how to get a free fruit plate to start the meal. Thanks, Nelson. Our housekeeper was also a very nice lady.

I would stay here again if I ever had need to stay in the Fisherman's Wharf area. It's an excellent location for this purpose but not excellent in general as an area I'd want to stay, hence the less than 5 stars rating. I'd prefer a more interesting view from the room. I have to admit it was always very quiet in our location.

Located right next to all the activities in Fisherman's Wharf. Easy to walk to cable cars, Pier 39, and other major attractions. Loni the concierge is awesome. Talk to Loni and he can help you set a great itinerary and explain how to use the super easy public transportation system to go everywhere from Chinatown to Union Center. Only issues with this location are internet access (worse connectivity I ever had at any Marriott - constantly freezing up and having to reset) and parking is limited to valet only.

nice hotel, very helpful people. The location is the best . This is not a resort and we did miss the option of a pool and hot tub. Very modern and the rooms seemed to be a bit oversize which is great . Would stay there again

This is a very clean hotel. The room as well as the bathroom has a lot of space. The beds are very comfortable. Our room, #235, was very quiet; we did not have any outside noise keeping us awake. They do not have a continental breakfast; however, it is an extra cost. It is easy to walk to all the attractions on Fisherman's Wharf from the hotel. I would stay here again.
